Snapchat Partners With Credit Data Company Experian to Deliver Financial Education to Younger Consumers

Snapchat and credit reporting company Experian have announced a partnership to bring AI-powered financial education to younger consumers through the platform’s AI Sponsored Snaps ad format, building on a prior creator-led campaign that produced measurable performance gains for the company.

Experian says the collaboration will allow Snapchat users to engage with the company through a conversational AI experience embedded in Snapchat Chats, where they can ask financial questions and receive guidance. The announcement follows Experian’s earlier integration with ChatGPT to help consumers explore auto insurance options through its Marketplace platform.

“If we want to help people feel more confident about money, we can’t wait for them to come find us,” wrote Debbie Hsu, Executive Vice President of Product, Experian Consumer Services, in a blog post announcing the partnership. “We need to show up where curiosity naturally happens.”

Creator Campaign Delivered Efficiency Gains

The new announcement builds on a previous Snapchat campaign in which Experian partnered with four Snap Stars, the platform’s verified creator tier, along with creator agency Influential. The campaign promoted Experian’s Bill Negotiation and Subscription Cancellation tools through Story Ad videos filmed in everyday formats, including “get ready with me” style content, with each video closing with a call to download the Experian app.

The campaign generated a 52% more efficient cost per install, a 51% more efficient cost per registration, and a 44% higher click-through rate compared to traditional creative, according to Snapchat’s published results.

Snapchat cited internal data showing Gen Z and Millennial users are 65% more likely than other audiences to describe themselves as “money driven.”
