Influencer discovery tools have become a critical starting point for brands building creator partnerships, yet the sheer volume of platforms, ranging from AI-driven search engines to niche creator marketplaces, has made the market difficult to navigate.
The stakes are rising as well. A recent EMARKETER and Viral Nation survey shows U.S. influencer marketing budgets climbing 15% to $10.52 billion in 2025, even as most brands admit they are not investing enough in vetting and brand-safety measures. Marketers continue to prioritize performance metrics over safety standards, creating a widening gap between the speed of spending and the rigor of evaluation.
At the same time, new research highlights how quickly the discovery ecosystem is changing. According to a global market analysis released this month, the influencer marketing platform sector is projected to grow from $16.79 billion in 2025 to more than $272 billion by 2035, driven by advances in AI and automation, as well as the expansion of social platforms.
These tools are increasingly positioned not only to match brands with creators, but to streamline reputation management, campaign execution, and cross-platform analytics.
To understand how marketers are navigating this expanding field, we collected thoughts from 28 industry experts across talent management, technology, and brand strategy about the discovery tools they rely on and what separates an effective platform from the rest.
We like to use Viewstats for YouTube discovery as it clearly separates between long-form and short-form views, which is a key distinction that other platforms miss. Gospel Stats has also worked well for us and brings a range of additional features related to brand and agency discovery. Outside of non-YouTube, Famous Birthdays has become a great destination!
We use CreatorIQ as our main platform – it’s a great foundation, but honestly, it’s just the starting point.
I really like that CreatorIQ is moving toward a content-driven, AI-powered search – surfacing creators based on the content they produce rather than just audience data. It makes it easier to find creators who are already talking about your brand or creating in your category, which feels much more authentic.
That said, we still combine platform data with human insight and intuition – understanding why a creator connects, not just how they perform. Tools give you scale, but relationships build real influence.
At 456 Growth, we approach influencer discovery through a performance-first and data-driven lens – not vanity metrics.
Unlike traditional agencies that focus on follower counts or engagement rates, our discovery process is built on first-party behavioral data and real performance indicators. We leverage data-centric platforms like FastMoss to identify high-converting social sellers for TikTok Shop programs based on verified GMV (Gross Merchandise Value), sales velocity, and creator consistency. We also utilize tools like Archive for social listening, visual search, and content alignment – going beyond surface-level metrics to uncover creators who are brand-fit, content-fit, and commerce-ready.
Our process layers filters such as audience quality, engagement trends, and location to create a multi-dimensional discovery funnel that connects brands with creators who actually drive measurable growth, not just impressions.
I actually think the best influencer discovery tool isn’t just a platform, it’s having curiosity and building community. But, when it comes to tech for nano and micro creators getting started, I loved using Her Campus suite of creator networks, InfluenceHer Collective, Campus Trendsetters, College Fashionista and other platforms like Popular Pays, Cohley, Tribe, Hashtag Paid, MAVN and more! I also use LinkedIn and TikTok search organically for the people running campaigns to find the right partners who align with my social and brand values. It’s important to work with these kinds of platforms, especially on a gifting basis just to get your toes wet and to add some great brands to your resume – and then a lot of these platforms will eventually come back with small budgets that grow as your platform does!
My team has tried a ton of influencer discovery tools, and while they all have their strengths, our go-to is still the bedrock creator platforms where the audience lives. YouTube (and TikTok) give good visibility into who’s growing, who’s engaging, and who’s building a real community. Aside from this, we actually start with a channel’s content before we worry about the numbers. And that’s the real key: a creator with a community that genuinely loves their content will always outperform someone who just has numbers on paper.
For deeper vetting, tools like CreatorIQ and Tubular can be super helpful, especially when it comes to pulling audience demographics, doing brand safety checks, and tracking historical performance. But discovery doesn’t have to be complicated: the best partnerships usually start by paying attention to creators who are already passionate and consistent in a niche. Ultimately, we look to where the fans are, then use the tools to validate the fit.
At Made In, we run a full benchmark of influencer platforms every year to make sure we stay ahead of the game for our clients. From all the tools we’ve reviewed this year, Modash stands out as the strongest for influencer discovery. It’s exceptionally powerful for locating influencers and understanding their audiences based on detailed follower data. The AI-driven search is also impressive. especially when conducting more specific or visual searches (for example, creators with curly hair or who wear glasses). Another major advantage is how quickly you can identify an influencer’s past brand collaborations, making it easy to spot potential conflicts or competitive partnerships. Plus, the integration into campaign workflows is seamless, which makes the whole process faster and more efficient.
While we have access to a range of discovery tools including CreatorIQ, Beacons, Famous Birthdays, and other proprietary data sets, the majority of influencer discovery at Currents continues to happen directly through TikTok and Instagram’s algorithms. One of the advantages of our approach is that our team’s algorithms are highly curated to the type of talent we work with, surfacing creators who align with our focus areas in real time. By discovering talent organically, often before they appear in databases, we’re able to identify authentic voices early.
I come with incredible bias as the founder of ChannelCrawler, a discovery tool for YouTubers.
That said, I have a lot of respect for others in the market that do a stellar job. Others should also try Saral or Modash, depending on your use case, you may also choose a creator marketplace such as Faved.
I’d strongly suggest using a tool of some kind. So many more options, and with tools starting from $59, the hours it saves gives an immediate ROI (Return on Investment) on your time. It’s more fun too
In my experience, the smartest influencer discovery blends data precision with contextual relevance. Platforms like Influencers Club, Famous Birthdays, Modash, and CreatorIQ are invaluable starting points. They help surface verified data on audience demographics, growth, and niche alignment. But it’s no longer about reach or vanity metrics. The real signal lies in trust and actionability: who can move their audience from watching to doing. I pair these tools with YouTube Analytics and social listening to identify creators who convert attention into action, through storytelling consistency, cultural stickiness, and community credibility. The goal isn’t just to find campaign performers, but future franchise builders who turn followers into participants. In today’s landscape, discovery isn’t about who shouts the loudest; it’s about who can inspire movement and build lasting trust.
There is no single best tool. At Somerce, we use TikTok Creator Marketplace and Shopify Collabs as our go-to platforms, because they provide first-party data straight from TikTok, including engagement rates, audience insights, and real sales performance. That accuracy matters more than inflated vanity metrics.
We then layer in manual research and past Spark Ads performance data to assess whether a creator’s content actually converts. Tools can shortlist talent, but they cannot judge authenticity, storytelling, or selling power. That is where human insight wins.
Our approach blends precision and instinct: technology for efficiency, people for relevance. The goal is not just to find influencers; it is to identify partners who can move products and shape culture on TikTok.
Here’s my answer: My go-to platform is Brands Meet Creators. I love that it bridges both sides of the industry. It’s built for genuine partnerships, not just transactions. You can discover aligned creators, but also connect with brands that value storytelling and long-term relationships. It’s not just about follower count; it’s about fit, authenticity, and shared mission, which is exactly how I approach influencer marketing at Enfluence.
We’ve been using InfluenceFlow and it’s been a game-changer for how we run campaigns.
What initially drew me in was that it’s actually free – no catch, no hidden fees. I was skeptical at first, but it genuinely delivers. We can run complete campaigns from start to finish: find creators, negotiate, manage content review, and even process payments all in one place. No more juggling five different tools and spreadsheets.
The feature I didn’t expect to love so much is the negotiation workflow. It uses performance data to help optimize pricing, and we’ve consistently saved around 20% on creator costs without the awkward back-and-forth. It just makes the whole process smoother for everyone.
For teams working with creators regularly, especially if you’re budget-conscious, InfluenceFlow has been incredibly solid. It handles everything we need without the enterprise price tag.
Victoria Bachan, Creator Economy Expert & Talent Representative
Everyone has different tools, and outside of my own algorithm that I have lovingly and painstakingly trained brick by brick, I LOVE what Evan Britton and his team over at Famous Birthdays have built. They were early to recognize which creators were popping off across platforms and have evolved into an incredible database of real-time trends, rankings, and discovery insights. I’ll never forget Famous Birthdays being one of the first to identify Charli D’Amelio as a talent to watch and, boy, were they spot on. I can’t wait to see what additional tools for discovery they continue to build over time. There is a reason the wider industry keeps calling them the “IMDb of Creators”.
Tools these days are becoming copy-cats of each other, but I’m willing to bet in a few quarters we’ll hopefully see newer/novel features start to set them apart again. But, until then … my answer is always the same: any tool going deep and doing native integrations with Meta + TikTok is who you should be working with. This gets them early access to the latest search APIs (Application Programming Interface), and hands-on support from those partner teams so it’s silly to pick a tool not chasing after those direct platform partnerships. Just watch out for anyone who tries to claim they have proprietary API access, Meta/TikTok always share the love and bring in multiple platforms into their recruiting tool launches.
We evaluated many influencer discovery tools, but partnrUP stood out because it links discovery to real performance. Most platforms just list creators; partnrUP helps us identify partners based on engagement metrics, audience insights, and past campaign results. The AI agents quickly surface creators who already match our brand goals and budget; turning what used to take days of manual research into minutes. The platform not only saves time but also increases confidence that every creator we contact will drive measurable impact. Since using partnrUP, we’ve made smarter, faster partnership decisions and consistently hit our campaign targets.
While many discovery tools focus on scraping public data, our go-to is our own ‘walled garden’ ecosystem. This includes Webfluential, with its database of 80,000 established creators, and theSalt, which has a community of 600,000 consumer voices.
Our bias is intentional: we only work with opted-in creators. This is the crucial differentiator. It immediately shifts the dynamic from cold outreach to a professional partnership, as these creators have been vetted and have already raised their hands to collaborate.
Our tools are then designed not for mass discovery, but for perfectly matching a brand’s specific criteria to the right creator. This ensures we’re not just finding ‘reach,’ but an authentic voice with a genuine, trust-based connection to its community. It’s about finding the right partner, which is far more valuable than just a high follower count.
Influencer discovery tools can be a useful starting point, and in livestreaming, numbers alone rarely tell the full story. The key is understanding the audience – who they follow, how they engage, and what type of content resonates.
In today’s era of multi-streaming, having insights across key platforms is essential. Audiences move between Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and others, and creators often maintain different communities on each. The key to success for brands is combining cross-platform data from analytics platforms like Streams Charts with the expertise of influencer marketing agencies such as MIRAI. This helps identify creators whose audiences and style align with specific campaign goals and ensures decisions are informed by both data and human judgment.
This cross-platform approach also boosts discoverability for brands, as creators can influence multiple communities, expanding a campaign’s reach and impact beyond a single platform.
The go-to tool for influencer discovery is Social Snowball. It goes far beyond basic search – it’s an AI-powered platform that helps brands find the perfect creators and turn them into high-performing affiliates. You can instantly discover influencers that align with your brand, view deep analytics on each creator, see what other brands they have partnered with, and automate personalized outreach at scale.
I work with and can recommend Storyclash for Influencer Discovery and Linkster for Campaign Tracking – they actually have a built in tracking link system which makes it very easy to analyse the customer journey and track influencer generated revenue – with and without discount codes.
Storyclash’s AI search tool works very well, giving us the opportunity to find influencers for niche topics. I also like their influencer collab screenings as well as their feature to track competitor activities.
With so many platforms emerging, some of the best stand out not just through features, but by niching down. Influenergy, founded by Sandeep Asdhir, focuses on human AI creators, while Jem Social, founded by Bree Flemings, evolved from a gig marketplace into an influencer discovery tool without leaving its gig roots behind. Despite their differences, both reflect passionate founders I’ve had the pleasure to meet, who genuinely care about helping creators.
My top pick, though, is the newly launched Matador Talent (Agency), founded by my friend Yogi Patel. It goes beyond typical brand-talent matching by adding agents to the mix, helping talent connect with the right representation for specific industries or markets. In an industry that often overlooks this layer, Matador Talent bridges a key gap by recognizing that the best fit often comes from the right agent’s expertise, local market knowledge, and network, not just the platform itself
At Superbloom, we don’t believe the magic happens in a platform – it happens after it. Discovery tools should be considered just the starting line. We use Superfiliate’s exclusive Meta Suite to identify potential partners when we absolutely need to, but real discovery comes from our conversations, content audits, and insights analysis. The best collaborations usually start with curiosity, not just criteria.
Influencer discovery tools are an essential first step in our discovery process. We lean on Influencer Marketing AI (IMAI) as our go-to platform because it leverages AI to help us find creators who truly fit a campaign’s specific narrative. IMAI scans content and metadata across platforms, allowing us to search for highly specific niches. Critically, it matches keywords in recent posts, not just bios, ensuring our results are relevant and timely. The system then summarizes content themes, influencer audience makeup, and brand fit into a quick rationale, allowing for rapid vetting. It even has a proprietary IMAI Score that combines relevance, interactions, and authentic growth to help us confidently vet and activate the best creators who genuinely connect with our target audience. While influencer discovery tools are only part of the process, IMAI helps us to narrow the pool of influencers and make informed casting decisions.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with several excellent influencer discovery tools, from Modash to Upfluence, and each serves a unique purpose. These platforms are fantastic for streamlining workflows and scaling campaigns, particularly in large B2C (Business to Consumer) environments where volume and efficiency are key.
However, when it comes to B2B or niche campaigns, traditional metrics don’t always tell the full story. That’s why we’ve developed our own proprietary algorithm – now evolving into a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform named NYRA. We see influencer marketing and data science as deeply interconnected disciplines.
Rather than focusing solely on follower numbers or engagement rates, NYRA analyzes contextual alignment, relevance, and qualitative impact. It also enables forecasting and budget optimization tailored to specific KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
This approach has proven far more predictive of long-term success and authentic influence – helping brands move beyond vanity metrics to understand the value of influence.
The creator discovery challenge has already been addressed by multiple tools. Since most of my work revolves around YouTube and YouTube content creators, I find Tubular particularly effective for discovery, as it offers in-depth analytics that enable highly precise creator discovery on this platform.
For campaigns spanning multiple platforms, HypeAuditor stands out with multiple metrics for account analytics, campaign management, and competitor analysis features.
However, the real challenge for influencer marketers isn’t finding creators – it’s getting in touch with them. Many creators have inboxes overflowing with messages, and even their managers can be hard to reach. To solve this, I recommend using platforms like pin.top, which turn brand inquiries into pre-paid orders for creators, cutting through the noise and eliminating paperwork. The response rate is significantly higher compared to traditional outreach.
As talent managers, we’re always chasing smarter ways to connect talent with opportunity. Solira has truly changed the game for us in terms of pitching; what used to take hours now takes minutes. But no platform can fully replace the magic of hands-on discovery through searching recommended accounts, comments, and follower lists.
We use ChannelCrawler (shoutout Jake Kitchener) to source YouTubers. It’s got one of the best filter systems out there, a massive database, and reliable data. Plus, the ability to export lists quickly makes it easy to scale research. Once exported, we plug the lists into our own Airtable setup, where we refine the data using n8n and AI tools.
For sponsorship insights, we rely on ThoughtLeaders (shoutout Alan Kronik). It’s incredibly useful for tracking which brands are sponsoring which creators – saves us hours of manual searching and helps us identify patterns fast.
Our go-to approach isn’t tied to one single platform, it’s about the power of partnerships. We collaborate closely with influencer networks and creator platforms that use advanced, AI-driven discovery tools to source and vet talent. By tapping into these partner systems, ranging from influencer marketplaces to proprietary search dashboards, we gain access to deeper insights that go beyond follower counts. These tools analyze brand fit through audience demographics, interests, competitor activity, and engagement trends. This collaborative model blends human strategy with machine intelligence, ensuring each creator partnership feels authentic and data-informed. The success lies in this synergy: leveraging our partners’ technology and expertise while applying our own brand knowledge and strategy to make the right matches. It’s both efficient and scalable, and ultimately drives stronger, more relevant relationships between brands and creators.
My go-to platform for influencer discovery is Popfly. I work for a small product startup with a wide range of audiences, from camping to public safety, and most influencer tools serve up the same generic persona lists. Popfly is a paradigm shift. Instead of chasing influencer profiles and guessing who might be a fit, I can clearly state what type of content we need and let the right creators come to us. It prioritizes creativity and market fit over social media metrics. Since using Popfly, we’ve scaled UGC (User Generated Content) more efficiently and now have authentic content coming from nearly every market we sell into. It’s influencer discovery, but with far less guesswork and a lot more alignment.
