TikTok Launches New Analytics Platform For Artists To Track Music Performance
TikTok has launched “TikTok for Artists,” a new analytics platform designed to help musicians track their performance and build their careers on the social media platform.
Artists can access statistics on song performance, including views, posts, and creator engagements per track. Post performance metrics show views, likes, comments, shares, and completion rates. Follower insights provide demographic information, including self-declared gender, age, and language preferences.

TikTok for Artists also introduces a new “Pre-Release” tool that allows musicians to promote upcoming album releases on the platform. This feature enables fans to pre-save albums directly to their Spotify or Apple Music libraries, making them instantly available upon release.
“TikTok is already well known for being the world’s best platform for music discovery and promotion, and with the launch of TikTok for Artists, all tiers of artists will gain insights on TikTok that they can use to take their careers to a whole new level,” said Toyin Mustapha, Head of Music Partnerships for the UK, Ireland and Sub-Saharan Africa, in an announcement.
This addition complements TikTok’s existing “Add to Music App” feature, which has generated over one billion song saves since its 2024 launch. The feature recently expanded to include YouTube Music integration, joining previous connections with SoundCloud and Deezer.

Artist Reception and Platform Expansion
Early adopters have responded positively to the platform. Australian artist Cyril Riley, who has 750,000 followers, said: “My team and I rely on TikTok for Artists daily, sometimes even hourly. In such a rapidly evolving industry, it’s crucial for us to consistently monitor and review the analytics of my account.”
British artist Jordan Adetunji said: “TikTok for Artists is a game-changer. It has so much information about my music, my followers, and how they’re using my songs in their posts.”
The launch comes as TikTok continues to expand its music integration features. In July 2025, the platform added YouTube Music to its “Add to Music App” feature, which has generated over one billion track saves since its global launch in 2024. This feature allows users to save songs discovered on TikTok directly to their preferred streaming services.
Growing Impact on Music
TikTok’s influence on music discovery continues to grow significantly. According to a Luminate study commissioned by TikTok, 84% of songs entering the Billboard Global 200 in 2024 achieved viral status on the platform before charting. Research also indicates that TikTok users spend 48% more time streaming music than the average U.S. listener and are 68% more likely to subscribe to paid streaming services.
TikTok for Artists is now available in multiple regions across North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania for all artists with a certified TikTok Artist Account. Artists can provide account access to their teams and label representatives.
