Popfly Launches Free Creator Marketing Platform For Small Businesses

Popfly announces “Popfly Local,” a free platform giving small retailers and storefronts access to its creator marketplace ahead of Small Business Saturday. The creator content platform, which serves enterprise adventure brands, now extends its technology to local businesses nationwide.

According to a press release, Popfly Local provides small businesses access to a marketplace of more than 10,000 adventure creators, along with collaboration tools and campaign management capabilities. The platform includes discovery tools for finding local creators, collaboration management software, and dashboards for tracking performance and return on investment.

The offering centralizes communications, content organization, and pre-licensed brand partner content in a single hub. Small businesses also receive resources, training, and support for running creator campaigns.

“Local retailers are the soul of our communities; they’re what make our neighborhoods feel personal, connected, and human,” said Taylor Hoekstra, founder and CEO of Popfly. “Until now, creators have mostly worked with national brands, but Popfly Local levels the playing field, giving you the ability to activate nearby creators to drive foot traffic and online sales.”

Timing and Access

The platform launches just before Small Business Saturday (November 29, 2025), positioning local businesses to leverage creator collaborations during the holiday shopping season.

The company states that small businesses often lack the resources for effective influencer marketing, despite the potential of creator content to drive visibility, foot traffic, and customer engagement. Popfly Local launches to lower the barrier to entry for local business owners entering the creator economy.

Popfly Local operates on the same technology infrastructure that powers the company’s enterprise client platform.

Popfly’s platform addresses common inefficiencies in creator marketing between brands and creators. The platform includes an “Adventures” feature allowing creators to post upcoming trips that brands can sponsor with gear or compensation.
