MrBeast Unveils Animated Series As YouTuber Expands Into Kids’ Entertainment
YouTuber MrBeast is launching an animated series titled “MrBeast Lab” in October 2025, marking a strategic expansion from viral video content into children’s entertainment. The 2D animated sci-fi comedy adventure targets children aged 6 to 13 while maintaining appeal to his broader fan base.
The series builds directly upon MrBeast’s collectible toy line, “MrBeast Lab Swarms,” produced in partnership with Moose Toys. This move represents an integration of content and commerce, with the storyline featuring hybrid beast creatures created through experiments in an underground laboratory.
The series is produced by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, known for “Robot Chicken,” and directed by Sam Levine, whose credits include “Wreck-It Ralph” and “DC League of Super-Pets.”
The animation style combines saturated visuals with fast-paced energy reminiscent of early 2000s Saturday morning cartoons and anime influences. Initially launching as a series of animated shorts, the first 20 episodes will debut on Moose Toys’ YouTube channel.
This animated venture follows MrBeast’s successful foray into reality television with “Beast Games” on Amazon Prime Video, which became the platform’s most-watched unscripted show with 50 million viewers in its first 25 days and recently secured a two-season renewal.
However, the tone of “MrBeast Lab” aims for playful storytelling and family-friendly content, distinctly differentiating itself from the more controversial “Beast Games,” which faced production challenges including contestant lawsuits alleging unsafe conditions during filming.
Creator-to-Animation Trend
MrBeast’s expansion mirrors moves by other digital creators entering the animation space. Comedy influencer Adam Waheed is developing an animated series with Frederator Studios and Wheelhouse DNA, while creator Emily Brundige transitioned from short-form content to showrunning “Goldie” on Apple TV+.
These developments represent a growing trend of established animation studios partnering with online creators. Companies like Toonstar have collaborated with digital creators such as Nigel Ng on animated series featuring viral characters, while Animotion Media Group works with creators through its AI-powered platform Animait.
