MrBeast Responds To Complaints About Las Vegas Event
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, responded to a complaint on social media, acknowledging the issues with the recently cnncluded “MrBeast Experience” held in Resorts World Las Vegas.
“This definitely isn’t the experience we hoped they’d deliver,” Donaldson wrote on X. “My team’s already on it—I’d love to personally make it up to you and anyone else by inviting everybody affected to tour my actual studio!”
Unmet Expectations
The highly popular influencer’s response came after a group of approximately 50 frustrated fans confronted Resorts World Las Vegas CEO Alex Dixon on Tuesday, April 15, demanding refunds for the three-day festival that many claim failed to deliver on its promises. The event, which ran from April 13-15 and cost attendees approximately $1,000, was advertised as “immersive” and “unforgettable.”
Guests expected mini-games, meet and greets, photo opportunities, special drinks, and themed activities across the resort. Instead, many report being instructed to remain in their rooms awaiting a “mystery arrival” that for some turned out to be only a box of chocolates.
“It makes Las Vegas look bad. It makes Resorts World look bad. It makes MrBeast look bad. This is a terrible experience,” Las Vegas local David Yacksyzn told FOX5.
The event page has since been removed from the Resorts World website. The original promotional materials had described the experience as offering “on-site activations” across the property, “exclusive menu items,” themed beverages, and a chance for one guest to win a $10,000 gift voucher.
Merchandise and Restaurant Complaints
The “exclusive MrBeast mystery bag” promised to attendees contained what some described as clearance merchandise from MrBeast’s online store. Theresa Metta, who traveled to the event with her mother, told KLAS TV that her bag contained “kid’s shorts, an extra small shirt, a hat, and a medium shirt” that she later found available online for $9.
Guests also reported that restaurant staff appeared unaware of the advertised special menu items and themed beverages. “We went to the three restaurants,” Yacksyzn stated. “None of them knew anything about what we were talking about.”
Resort Response and Legal Action
Rather than providing the requested refunds, Resorts World offered guests waived early departure fees and $100 in resort credits split between the pool and an on-site restaurant.
“It’s a very expensive resort. All of their restaurants are very, very expensive compared to most other hotels. So, a $50 credit is a joke. It’s like one beverage,” an attendee told FOX5.
As FOX and KLAS both report, several attendees are now considering a class action lawsuit against the hotel. Following the confrontation, a number of guests exchanged contact information to pursue legal action.
