Later Appoints Tech Veteran Mohsin Hussain as CTO to Accelerate AI Development
Influencer Marketing company Later has named Mohsin Hussain as Chief Technology Officer, bringing in a seasoned engineering executive to lead the platform’s next phase of technical development.
Hussain joins from data collaboration network LiveRamp, where he served as CTO and EVP, overseeing global engineering operations across more than 1,000 customers. His 25-year career includes senior roles at Criteo and AOL/Netscape, with expertise spanning machine learning, data science, AI-native systems, and large-scale platform development.
Hussain will lead the development of Later EdgeAI, the company’s proprietary predictive intelligence engine.
“Later is sitting on the world’s richest creator dataset,” said Hussain. “I joined because the data infrastructure we’re building today will shape how brands run creator programs for years to come. I look forward to strengthening our engineering culture and accelerating the innovation behind Later EdgeAI to ensure our technology continues to meet the evolving needs of the world’s favorite brands.”
Later reports that its AI capabilities helped marketers manage over 70% more creators per campaign, achieve nearly 50% higher engagement, and save more than 30% in creator fees over the past year.
Company Context
Hussain’s appointment coincides with a period of reported growth for Later. The company recorded over 100% year-over-year growth in enterprise business for Q1 2026 and now powers $2.7 billion in verified influencer-driven purchases. Later also reports delivering more than $250 million in cumulative creator payouts.
CEO Scott Sutton framed the company’s trajectory around measurement and accountability. “Brands are asking how to run creator marketing with the accuracy of any other performance channel,” he said. “Our growth reflects how brands think about creator-led campaigns now: from gut-feel to data-driven programs that deliver measurable social revenue at scale.”
Later counts Nike, Southwest Airlines, Wayfair, and Unilever among its enterprise clients.
