Inter Miami CF Launches Official Snapchat Account At Dreams Cup To Engage Young Fans
Inter Miami C.F. officially launched its Snapchat profile (@intermiamicf) during the opening ceremony of this year’s Dreams Cup tournament, becoming one of the first Major League Soccer (MLS) teams to integrate Snapchat Cam technology at its home stadium. The youth tournament featured over 900 girls and boys teams from nine countries, ranging from U-8 to U-19 levels.
According to the club’s announcement, the launch targeted the platform’s youth demographic, as Snapchat reaches over 75% of the 13 to 34-year-old population in more than 25 countries, with over 170 million users consuming sports-related content through the app.
Enhanced Fan Experience Through Interactive Features
Followers of Inter Miami’s Snapchat profile will gain exclusive access to behind-the-scenes training coverage and matchday highlights through Snapchat’s stories and spotlight features.
The platform also offers an interactive space for fans to connect with one another through chat features, geotag technology, and shared stories.
The club introduced in-stadium Snapchat Lenses during the Dreams Cup Opening Ceremony, featuring a kick-off match between Inter Miami U-13 and Orlando City S.C. U-13.
Fans using the new Lenses have the opportunity to appear on Chase Stadium’s scoreboard LED display through real-time camera capture technology. The first Lens displays an Inter Miami CF banner between users’ arms as they raise them in front of their phone cameras, while the second overlays “Vamos Miami” text as fans open their mouths to cheer.
Growing Digital Engagement Across Soccer
This expansion into Snapchat complements broader social media developments in MLS. TikTok recently renewed its multi-year partnership with the league, reporting that soccer content continues to gain traction, with 14.8 million posts using #soccer, nearly 9 million of which were created in 2024 alone.
Snap Inc. has been strengthening its sports partnerships while expanding advertising tools and formats. The company recently unveiled new offerings at its 2025 IAB NewFronts presentation, targeting its 900 million monthly active users. Snap Map now reaches over 400 million monthly users, providing additional opportunities for location-based engagement.
