Acast Names Laura Hagen As SVP To Lead Americas Growth, Global Agency Strategy

Swedish-founded podcast company Acast has appointed Laura Hagen as Senior Vice President, Regional MD Americas & Global Head of Agency Relations, reinforcing its focus on the Americas as a crucial growth market.

Hagen joins Acast with extensive experience from leadership positions at Zeta Global and iHeartMedia, bringing expertise in leveraging proprietary data sets, AI, and identity graphs. Her background in creating and selling cross-platform marketing solutions aligns with Acast Creative Studios’ focus on developing cross-platform campaigns.

“She has an incredible track record of delivering results, and her background is tailor-made for Acast’s next decade,” Greg Glenday, who was appointed CEO of Acast in June 2025, said in a press release. “She’s built high-performance teams across audio, creative sales, digital, and data; quite literally covering many of our strategic priorities.”

The appointment comes amid notable momentum for Acast in North America, which has become the company’s largest market for the first time. According to Acast’s Q2 2025 interim report, while total company net sales grew by 27%, reaching SEK 606.7 million (~$64M), North American operations outperformed with 70% growth compared to the same period last year.

Building on Recent Strategic Moves

Hagen’s appointment follows a series of strategic developments at Acast, including Glenday’s appointment as CEO and the January acquisition of Wonder Media Network, which has been integrated into Acast Creative Studios. The acquisition has already contributed to record-breaking bookings in two of the company’s three largest markets during Q2.

“I am so energized to join Acast at this pivotal moment of growth,” said Hagen. “The podcast market is maturing at an extremely rapid pace, and I am truly excited to join such an innovative company leading the way.”

Acast continues to enhance its core value proposition of connecting podcast creators with monetization opportunities while providing advertisers with scalable solutions. The company reports Average Revenue Per Listen (ARPL) increased by 27% to SEK 0.55 ($0.058) in Q2 2025, reflecting improved monetization despite flat overall listening numbers.
