ThriveCart Acquires Piktochart to Bring AI Visual Design Tools to Its Creator Commerce Platform

ThriveCart, a creator commerce and learning platform, has acquired Piktochart, a visual communications platform offering AI-powered infographic, presentation, and design tools. The deal brings built-in visual creation capabilities directly into ThriveCart’s existing checkout, course, and membership infrastructure.

ThriveCart CEO Ismael Wrixen framed the acquisition as part of a broader effort to reduce tool fragmentation for creator businesses.

“Many creator businesses today combine course platforms, community platforms, checkout systems, and separate design software,” Wrixen said in a press release. “ThriveCart’s vision is to unify commerce, learning, and growth tools – including AI-powered content creation – into one platform.”

Piktochart General Manager Girithaara Ramanan said the platform’s tools are designed to lower the barrier to production for visual communication.

“Our AI visual tools help users turn ideas and data into clear visual communication quickly,” Ramanan said. “As part of ThriveCart, these capabilities will directly support course creators, membership businesses, and digital educators in producing materials that improve understanding and conversion.”

According to the press release, the integration will allow ThriveCart creators to generate sales visuals, course materials, training diagrams, funnel graphics, and marketing assets within the same platform they use to sell and deliver programs, without requiring specialist design skills.

ThriveCart reports that its merchants have processed more than $8 billion in sales across more than 70 million transactions, with more than 12 million students enrolled through its learning platform and over 900,000 affiliates active on the system.

The acquisition comes as video and visual content are playing an increasingly central role in creator marketing. According to Animoto’s September 2025 State of Video study, 67% of marketers say video is important to their strategy, while 84% report using AI in their video creation process, highlighting the growing role of visual and AI-assisted content in modern marketing.
