Johnson was born in New Jersey and raised by a single mother on welfare. At 10 years old, the family moved to Marietta, Georgia, where their financial situation improved after her mother got a full-time job. Outgoing and talkative from a young age, she was nicknamed the “Most Talkative” in 5th grade and teased by other kids for “trying to be too posh,” she said in an interview with The Cut

Now 37 years old, Reesa Teesa is putting her recognized garrulous personality to work as a sudden influencer. Her divorce ignited the addictive series by making her stitch a video on TikTok asking “What’s a f*cked up thing that your ex did to you?”. Johnson proceeded to create a 50-part series of shorts lasting over eight hours, detailing stories from her past marriage.

“It was actually hard to do the entire series,” Johnson revealed. “You’re putting yourself out there in a very vulnerable way.” The first part of her candid social media series amassed 39 million views.

Johnson’s openness about her marital experiences resonated with viewers. Her tales led to appearances on Good Morning America and The Tamron Hall Show. She revealed that she had received numerous direct messages from strangers wanting to share their own relationship woes.

“There are a lot of people who are really not sure who the heck they are with,” Johnson stated, noting those people’s fear of facing their inner thoughts and emotions. “And they are afraid to look deeper.”

As a Kennesaw State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Johnson balances her law enforcement career with her newfound influencer fame. Expressing excitement about joining CAA, Johnson told Deadline, “I hope to bring this story and personal experiences to an even bigger platform with the hope of helping those in similar circumstances know they are not alone.”

The popular Reesa Teesa continues to be represented by CLAY Agency and attorney Omara Harris, in addition to her new partnership with CAA. The viral success of “Who TF Did I Marry?” transformed Johnson into a TikTok sensation in just three weeks, allowing her to turn her vulnerability into her strength and forge connections with an audience yearning for genuine storytelling.
