VidCon has added Secretary Pete Buttigieg to the speaker lineup for VidCon Anaheim 2026, scheduled for June 25-27 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Buttigieg will participate in a fireside chat with Adriene Mishler, creator of Yoga with Adriene, on the Industry MainStage on Thursday, June 25.

The conversation will focus on the growing overlap between politics and the Creator Economy, and how creators and public leaders can build connections and inspire action online and offline.

“My approach to politics has always been guided by the belief that you can’t blame someone for not agreeing with you if you haven’t gone to the trouble of reaching them in the first place,” Buttigieg said. “Reaching people where they actually are, where they go to get their information, their entertainment, and increasingly their sense of community and belonging, matters more now than ever.”

Twitch CEO Dan Clancy will speak on why live content represents the future of the medium. Snap executives Ceci Mourkogiannis, Vice President of Product, and Brooke Berry, Head of Creator Development, will also take the stage, alongside Pinterest Chief Content Officer Malik Ducard and Tubi’s Rich Bloom, GM of Creator Programs and EVP of Business Development. Creator economy expert Jon Youshaei will host the Opening Day Keynote with POP.STORE CEO Gautam Goswami.

Mishler said she looks forward to “a thoughtful conversation about what helps us stay connected to ourselves and each other,” and how those connections “can help bridge divides as we aim to move forward together.”

VidCon, founded by Hank and John Green in 2010 and joined by FAN EXPO in 2024, describes itself as the world’s largest event at the intersection of creators, fans, brands, and industry.
