OnlyFans Ex-CEO Raises $2.7M For New AI-Powered Creator Platform Allowing Adult Content

Former OnlyFans CEO Amrapali Gan has secured funding for Vylit, a new creator platform that will permit topless content while leveraging AI for creator monetization.

Funding and Leadership

Gan, who led OnlyFans during its growth to $1 billion in annual revenue, raised $2.7 million for Vylit, Fortune reports. The funding round is anchored by Windmill Chain Fund, with angel investors including Manifest Financial and Amaze CEO Aaron Day.

Gan co-founded Vylit with Kailey Magder, with whom she previously ran a marketing consultancy. The platform plans to launch in December 2025 with approximately six employees.

Platform Differentiation

Vylit aims to address creator discoverability challenges that Gan identified during her OnlyFans tenure. The platform combines social media discoverability features with creator monetization tools, allowing topless content, but not the explicit material permitted on OnlyFans.

The platform incorporates AI image generation technology, enabling creators to generate and sell AI-created images of themselves to followers. Vylit targets creators without large existing followings, with Gan stating, “We really want to enable anyone to be a creator.”

Creator Economy Competition

The launch comes as OnlyFans reports $7.22 billion in gross subscriber payments for fiscal year 2024, a 9% increase year-over-year, with $5.8 billion paid to creators. OnlyFans maintains 4.63 million creator accounts, a 13% annual increase.

Vylit also faces competition from Subs.com, launched in May by OnlyFans founder Tim Stokely. Subs.com offers features including an “Explore” discovery feed, “Shows” for hosting long-form content, and one-to-one audio and video calls.

Vylit positions itself between mainstream platforms and adult content sites, targeting what its founders describe as “monetizing the casual thirst trap” while incorporating AI technology to lower barriers for new creators entering the monetization space.
