Ludwig’s ‘Streamer Games’ Returns to LA in August With Country-Based Teams
Ludwig Ahgren’s Streamer Games will return for a third year on August 1-2 at USC’s Allyson Felix Track & Field in Los Angeles, with an updated event page showing a roster reorganized around national and regional teams rather than last year’s format.
The event enters this edition on a growth trajectory. The 2025 competition drew more than 330,000 concurrent viewers over its two-day broadcast, up from a peak of 175,500 in 2024, according to Sports Illustrated. The 2024 debut averaged 135,000 concurrent viewers across a 13-hour broadcast and logged 1.75 million hours watched. Last year’s event also moved venues, from Leuzinger High School in Lawndale to USC’s Allyson Felix Track & Field in Los Angeles. For 2026, the format shifts to a 12-event, two-day slate.
The official site lists eight teams for 2026: All-Stars, Worldwide, Alumni, Mexico, Canada, France, the UK, and the USA, each carrying five named creators. The USA team includes Tyler1, Jynxzi, and MARI, while the All-Stars roster features QTCinderella and Stable Ronaldo. The France team’s fifth slot remains unlisted on the site. The shift to country-based teams marks a structural change from 2025, when ExtraEmily’s team won the championship over Team Vanilla with a roster built around individual creators, including Sambucha, rather than national affiliations.
Day one of the 2026 event covers the 100m dash, volleyball, paper airplane toss, archery, crate stacking, and musical chairs. Day two moves to Cubert toss, dodgeball, half and half, bull riding, “Simon Says,” and a penalty shootout. Tickets are on sale through USC’s event platform, with the page advertising a pre-show fan fest and photo opportunities for in-person attendees. Livestreams are set for Ludwig’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
Fan discussion on Reddit has focused on the new format and who did or didn’t make the cut. One thread flagged the absence of Sambucha, last year’s champion described by community members as dominant across the prior two competitions, from the All-Stars lineup, with users speculating about the reason without a confirmed answer from Ludwig or the event’s organizers.
Red Bull sponsored the 2025 event and used it for brand integration beyond standard signage, including a drone-delivered product placement during the archery competition and FaZe Clan member Emiru’s announcement of her signing as a Red Bull athlete.
Ludwig confirmed the Streamer Games would return following the 2025 broadcast, calling the viewership milestone “cool to see even as an unc we can run an event people care about.”
