Libsyn Signs Five New Exclusive Podcast Partnerships to Expand Creator Portfolio
Liberated Syndication Inc. has announced exclusive hosting and advertising partnerships with five podcasts: “Locked In with Ian Bick,” “Unlearned Wisdom with Johnny Chang,” “Restricted Handling,” “Was I In a Cult?,” and “The Joe Vulpis Podcast.”
The five shows span a range of content categories:
- “Locked In with Ian Bick” covers stories related to the criminal justice system and personal redemption.
- “Unlearned Wisdom with Johnny Chang,” hosted by a former gang member-turned-pastor, focuses on spirituality and personal development.
- “Restricted Handling” is co-hosted by former CIA and U.S. Army Officer Ryan Fugit and retired CIA Senior Intelligence Service Officer Glenn Corn, and covers geopolitics and global security.
- “Was I In a Cult?,” hosted by documentary filmmaker Tyler Measom and writer Liz Iacuzzi, examines cultic environments through first-person accounts.
- “The Joe Vulpis Podcast” features interviews with guests from entertainment, science, and digital media.
“When you look at what Ian, Johnny, Ryan, Glenn, Tyler, Liz, and Joe have built, you see creators who didn’t wait for permission, they went and found their audiences and earned their loyalty,” said Stephen Perlstein, SVP of Business Development at Libsyn, in a press release.
Platform and Monetization
Under each agreement, Libsyn will exclusively host and monetize the shows through its Libsyn Ads platform. Available ad formats include Host-Read Ads, programmatic Automatic Podcast Ads, Dynamic Ad Insertion, and Integrated Brand Opportunities.
The partnerships also provide access to the Libsyn Audience Network (LAN), which gives advertisers audience-based targeting across both new episodes and full catalogs within the Libsyn portfolio.
Libsyn serves as a launch partner for Spotify’s video distribution API and has announced a partnership for Apple’s HLS-enabled video in Apple Podcasts, allowing creators to distribute content across both platform-controlled and open podcast ecosystems.
The company reported a 48% year-over-year increase in advertising revenue for 2025, with ad impressions reaching 4.5 billion, up 46% from 2024. The number of creators monetizing on the platform grew more than 2.5 times during the same period. Previous exclusive partnerships included shows hosted by comedian Daniel Tosh, rapper Lecrae, and theoretical physicist Dr. Sean Carroll.
