Libsyn Opens Video Podcasting to All Creators, Launches Spotify Distribution Integration

Liberated Syndication Inc. (Libsyn) has expanded its podcast platform to include video publishing across all hosting plans, enabling creators to publish, distribute, and monetize both audio and video content from a single platform. As part of the rollout, Libsyn has completed an integration with Spotify’s Distribution API, allowing creators to publish video podcasts directly to Spotify.

All existing Libsyn customers now have access to video functionality within their current plans, with pricing starting at $8 per month. Spotify distribution is available on plans starting at $25 per month. New creators can access a 30-day free trial.

Libsyn says the expanded video offering covers distribution to Spotify and YouTube, with Apple Podcasts support rolling out soon through a partnership with Apple’s new HLS video integration.

“We view video as a natural progression for podcasting,” said Brendan Monaghan, President and CEO of Libsyn, in a press release. “Creators don’t want to choose between audio or video, or between platforms. That’s why we’re opening video to every Libsyn creator, not hand-selecting a few shows.”

The video expansion follows a period of growth for Libsyn’s advertising business. The company reported a 48% year-over-year increase in advertising revenue for 2025, with ad impressions reaching 4.5 billion, up 46% from 2024. The number of creators monetizing on the platform grew more than 2.5 times during the same period, according to the company.

Libsyn also launched the Libsyn Audience Network (LAN) in early 2026, giving brands access to episodic and full catalog inventory across four ad formats: Host-Read advertising, programmatic Automatic Podcast Ads, Dynamic Ad Insertion, and Integrated Brand Opportunities.
