Goalhanger Is Backing Emerging Digital Talent With Funded 3-Month ‘Accelerator’ Program

Goalhanger, the London-based podcast and media company, has launched The Accelerator, a three-month creative business incubator for emerging digital creators. Applications opened on March 24 and close on April 14.

Selected creators will receive up to £10,000 in content investment, along with training, mentorship, and access to Goalhanger’s editorial, creative, and commercial leadership. The program also includes a first-look deal covering long-form IP development, with guidance on partnerships, revenue models, and brand building.

The Accelerator targets specialist digital creators with an established presence on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and/or Facebook across entertainment, sport, politics, science, technology, and finance. Applicants must be UK-based and eligible to work.

Selection and Structure

A selection committee comprising senior Goalhanger leaders and external executives will choose participants. Panel members include representatives from Spotify, Sony Music, YouTube, Web Summit, and WME, among others. Named panelists include Alex Bewley, Alex Adey, Alex Mahon, Damaris Rex Taylor, Julia Errens, and Conor Galvin. Finalists will be announced in May 2026, with the program running through August 2026.

“The Accelerator is for creators who have real traction and real intent – people at the point where the next decision really does matter,” said Gary Lineker, Goalhanger co-founder. “Work with us, and we’ll bring the experience, infrastructure, and investment to help you scale properly.”

Nicole Logan, Executive Producer (Development) at Goalhanger, added: “There’s an extraordinary generation of digital talent creating loyal communities, and they deserve meaningful backing, not just exposure.”

Company Context

The launch follows a period of expansion for Goalhanger. In 2025, the company generated more than 750 million full-episode views and streams across its 15-show network and grew its paid membership base to more than 250,000.

Earlier this year, Goalhanger secured its first external investment since its 2014 founding, entering a strategic partnership with U.S.-based media investment firm The Chernin Group, which took a minority stake in the company.

Goalhanger’s network includes titles such as “The Rest Is History,” “The Rest Is Politics,” and “The Rest Is Football.”
