Ex-OnlyFans CEO Launches Vylit, an 18+ Creator Platform Positioned Between Social Media, Adult Content
Ami Gan, former CEO of OnlyFans, has publicly launched Vylit, an 18+ creator platform she co-founded with strategist and startup operator Kailey Magder.
The New York-based company raised $2.7 million in seed funding led by Windmill Chain Fund, with participation from angel investors including Manifest Financial and Amaze CEO Aaron Day.
Gan led OnlyFans during its growth to more than $1 billion in annual net revenue before stepping down in 2023. She and Magder subsequently co-ran Hoxton Projects, a strategic advisory firm, before developing Vylit. The platform launched publicly on April 15, following an earlier target of December 2025.
Platform Positioning and Features
Vylit allows topless content and body-positive expression while prohibiting explicit material, placing it between mainstream social platforms and adult content sites such as OnlyFans. The platform uses an interest-based discovery tool called “Vylit Vybe Matching,” which connects creators and fans by shared interests rather than follower counts or engagement metrics.
Built-in monetization tools support subscriptions, tiered access, and AI-powered chat engagement. The platform also offers two in-house AI features: an image generation tool that allows creators to produce photorealistic content directly within the platform, and “Vylit AI Chat,” which enables creators to deploy personalized AI conversations that replicate their voice and tone for audience engagement. The company partnered with British digital identity company Yoti for age verification and AI startup Unitary AI for content moderation.
“I spent years watching creators build audiences on one platform and monetize on another. That fragmentation doesn’t work,” said Gan. “Creators are running real businesses. Vylit gives them the freedom to express themselves and monetize on their own terms.”
Vylit enters a market where OnlyFans reported $5.8 billion in creator payouts for fiscal year 2024. The platform also competes with Subs, launched in May 2025 by OnlyFans founder Tim Stokely.
