Accenture Acquires Influencer Agency Superdigital To Expand Social Media Marketing Capabilities

Accenture has acquired Superdigital, a U.S.-based social and influencer agency, to strengthen its end-to-end social marketing capabilities. The acquisition will integrate Superdigital’s team of over 40 employees into Accenture Song, enhancing offerings in audience strategy, content creation, commerce, and measurement.

Founded in 2013, Superdigital brings expertise in social strategies, community building, and content production, with particular strength in short-form video and platform-native creative. The agency specializes in ideation and production while monitoring cultural trends.

“Marketing is evolving at an explosive pace, reshaped by AI and redefined by rising consumer expectations,” said Sean Lackey, Accenture Song’s Marketing practice lead for the Americas, in a press release. “For many of our clients, social media is where their audiences see them first. Leading with social is essential to building connections, experiences, and driving demand.”

This acquisition represents Accenture’s ongoing strategy to enhance its service portfolio across multiple domains. Just days earlier, on August 14, Accenture announced its largest cybersecurity acquisition to date with the agreement to acquire CyberCX.

The CyberCX acquisition will add approximately 1,400 cybersecurity professionals to Accenture’s workforce, expanding its capabilities in the Asia Pacific region.

Amid these moves, Accenture’s stock closed at $255.88 on August 19, marking a 2.71% increase while the broader S&P 500 registered a 0.59% loss. The company has outperformed market indices despite seeing an 11.8% depreciation over the past month.

Building on Previous Acquisitions

Superdigital joins Accenture Song’s growing portfolio of acquisitions that includes Unlimited, Work & Co, and SOKO. These strategic additions support Accenture’s global strategy to help clients grow and maintain relevance in the international markets.

“Joining Song marks an exciting new chapter for Superdigital, where our trailblazing spirit and unconventional approach will be supercharged by world-class technology and creativity at scale,” stated Biz Hennigan, General Manager of Superdigital.

The financial terms of the Superdigital transaction were not disclosed.
