Amazon India Launches Tech Influencer Program To Connect Creators With Online Shoppers
Amazon India has announced the launch of its Tech Influencer Program (TIP), designed to help content creators capitalize on the growing online shopping market. Unveiled at the Amazon Best in Tech Awards in New Delhi, the program equips creators with tools and resources to produce content focused on technology products, including smartphones, laptops, and cameras.
“Creators are at the heart of how customers discover, research, and purchase products today,” Nidhi Thakkar, Head of Creators Program at Amazon India, said in a statement. “With the Tech Influencer Program, we are doubling down on our vision to empower creators to succeed while helping customers make more informed purchase decisions.”
TIP provides tech creators with early access to product launches and exclusive deals, enabling them to create content in a timely manner. The program offers a competitive commission structure for driving conversions, along with specialized training on advanced practices. Creators gain access to exclusive affiliate tools, brand collaborations, and monetization opportunities. Additional benefits include workshops, special events, and networking with peers, brands, and Amazon leadership.
Amazon’s broader Influencer Program now includes more than 100,000 creators across categories, including technology, fashion, lifestyle, parenting, and fitness. Notable participants include Sameera Reddy, Rajiv Makhni, and Ankur Warikoo, who engage with their communities through Amazon.in.
Expanded Creator Ecosystem
The Tech Influencer Program joins Amazon’s growing suite of creator initiatives in India. In November 2024, the company launched Creator Central, a platform consolidating content creation and analytics tools for Influencer Program members. Creator Central enables users to manage content, track performance metrics, and handle multiple accounts directly through the Amazon app.
Amazon has recently increased Standard Commission Income Rates by 1.5 to 2 times across multiple categories. The company continues to invest in its creator network through additional programs, including Amazon Live, Creator University, Elevate, and Creator Connect, providing platforms for influencers to learn, engage, and grow their businesses.
