Tubi Debuts ‘Speed’ Series From Creator Kinigra Deon In Partnership With Spotter

Fox Corporation’s ad-supported streaming service Tubi announced the exclusive debut of “Speed,” a new original series from creator Kinigra Deon, produced in collaboration with creator financing platform Spotter. The series marks the latest expansion of creator-led content on the platform, which reports reaching more than 100 million monthly active users.

Deon, who has 14 million followers across platforms, wrote, directed, and produced “Speed.” The series follows rival street-racing crews battling for dominance in a city where power is defined by speed and loyalty, until a corrupt mayor’s manipulation of the underground scene forces longtime enemies into an uneasy alliance.

Deon was part of the initial cohort at the launch of Tubi for Creators. “Speed” continues her work in long-form scripted content, following the recent announcement of her first feature film, “Sundown,” which Spotter is co-producing with Hartbeat. Both “Speed” and “Sundown” are set for release on Tubi.

Spotter’s Role in Creator-Platform Partnerships

Spotter worked alongside Tubi and Deon to align creator-led intellectual property with the platform and audience. The company positions itself as a facilitator of connections among creators, platforms, brands, and production partners.

“Today, audiences are consuming more content on CTV (Connected Television) than ever before, with more than 78% watch time for our long-form Creator Partners’ content now being streamed on television sets,” Aaron DeBevoise, CEO of Spotter, said in a statement. “As Creators continue to build massive, highly engaged audiences, we see an enormous opportunity to help them bring original IP to streaming platforms.”

DeBevoise added that “Speed is a strong example of how Spotter serves as the connective tissue between Creators, platforms, brands, and production partners; bringing Creator-led stories to a wider audience.”

Platform Strategy for Creator Content

Tubi explains that its approach focuses on working with creators as long-term partners rather than one-off collaborators. The platform emphasizes providing creators with creative freedom and ownership of their vision.

“Tubi viewers are showing strong demand for creator-led series that feel original, culturally relevant, and built with them in mind,” said Rich Bloom, General Manager, Creator Programs & EVP, Business Development at Tubi. “Projects like Speed showcase how we’re supporting creators not just as one-off collaborators but as long-term storytellers with unique perspectives.”

Bloom noted that the platform offers creators “the freedom to go bold, reach new audiences, and fully own their creative vision – and partners like Spotter helping us deliver on that promise at scale.”

Spotter has supported multiple creator initiatives on Tubi beyond Deon’s projects. The company has collaborated with Rock Squad, which has more than four million YouTube subscribers, to bring the group’s first original scripted series to the platform.
