Top Brands and Creators to Form “Symphony Collective” and Shape TikTok’s Powerful New AI Marketing Tools

At its annual TikTok World event, TikTok announced the launch of Symphony, a new suite of AI-powered ad solutions to help creators and brands develop content tailored for the platform. As part of this initiative, TikTok is forming the Symphony Collective: Industry Advisory Board.

The founding members of this advisory board comprise a diverse group of prominent content creators, brands, agencies, and thought leaders. They include creators like Drea Okeke, David Ma, Michelle Gonzales, and O’Neil Thomas. Major brands such as Mondelez, American Eagle, Wendy’s, and the NBA are also represented, alongside agencies like OMD, Tinuiti, Day One, Tool, VaynerMedia, and TBWA Chiat.

The Symphony Collective’s purpose is to facilitate dialogue around the development and responsible utilization of AI technologies in creative marketing on TikTok. According to the company, it will be an open forum where these industry leaders can provide vital feedback and input as TikTok evolves its AI solutions.

Key components of the Symphony suite include Digital Avatars powered by generative AI, as well as AI Dubbing for automated video translations across multiple languages. Research cited by TikTok indicates that 58% of its users are more likely to trust brands after seeing creators discuss them, highlighting the potential impact of personalized Digital Avatars representing creators and brand spokespeople.

Another data point is that creating ads specifically designed for TikTok’s format boosts purchase intent by 37% and brand favorability by 38% compared to repurposed assets. The AI Dubbing tool may help brands achieve similar engagement uplift by cost-effectively translating videos into 10+ languages to reach global audiences.

Statements from Symphony Collective founding members suggest enthusiasm about leveraging AI to streamline creative processes and maintain authentic brand/creator connections on TikTok at a grander scale.

“I’m so excited to be one of the first creators to develop my own custom Digital Avatar to scale my reach globally and my revenue exponentially,” said TikTok creator O’Neil Thomas. “With the new Tools TikTok continues to implement, I can utilize even more ways to create new and fresh concepts with my brand partnerships.”
