Reddit Launches AI-Powered Ad Tools Tapping Into Real Talk For Better Ad Insights

Reddit unveiled new artificial intelligence-powered advertising tools at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, leveraging its vast repository of user conversations to provide marketers with enhanced insights and capabilities. Branded as “Reddit Community Intelligence™,” the initiative leverages the platform’s over 22 billion posts and comments to generate structured intelligence for informed marketing decisions.

The company introduces two alpha-stage products: Reddit Insights and Conversation Summary Add-ons. 

Reddit Insights functions as an AI-powered social listening tool, offering real-time data to help marketers plan campaigns and validate creative concepts. Conversation Summary Add-ons integrate positive user content directly below advertisements, blending AI efficiency with authentic user perspectives.

“In a world increasingly flattened by AI, the value of human content on our platform only grows,” said Jen Wong, Chief Operating Officer at Reddit, in a blog post. “We’re offering deep context, perspective, and the voice of real people at scale.”

Early Testing Results

Publicis serves as the exclusive alpha tester for Reddit Insights, using the tool for campaign planning, competitive intelligence, and brand health monitoring. Joel Lunenfeld, U.S. CEO at Publicis Media Exchange, describes it as “an indispensable asset” that delivers “authentic, real-time insights.”

Early tests of Conversation Summary Add-ons show a 19% higher clickthrough rate compared to standard image ads. Lucid and Jackbox Games are among the alpha testers for this feature.

“Now, redditors can more easily find conversations from knowledgeable and passionate owners,” stated Akerho Oghoghomeh, SVP of Marketing at Lucid, an electric vehicle manufacturer participating in the alpha test.

Financial and User Growth Context

The announcement comes amid strong financial performance for Reddit. The company recently reported Q1 2025 revenue of $392.4 million, a 61% year-over-year increase, with advertising revenue reaching $358.6 million. Daily active unique visitors grew 31% to 108.1 million, with international markets showing particularly strong growth.

Reddit’s stock rose 6% following the announcement of these new AI tools. The company forecasts Q2 2025 revenue between $410 million and $430 million, exceeding analyst estimates.
