Online Travel Agency Trip.com Launches Creator Ecosystem With 12K Influencers, $14M Incentive Fund

Trip.com Group unveiled Trip Community, a unified platform integrating the company’s content and creator initiatives to connect travel planning with user-generated content (UGC). The Singapore-based online travel agency positions the ecosystem as a response to travelers increasingly seeking inspiration from content creators and communities, according to a press release.

Platform Components and User Base

Trip Community consolidates six existing products: Trip.Moments, Influencer 4 Biz, Trip.Planner, Trip.Pulse, Trip.Events, and Local Guides. Trip.Moments, the platform’s central hub launched in 2019, attracted more than 2.5 million users globally as of October 2025. The platform hosts more than 12,000 Trip.Pals (verified creators with off-platform social accounts and substantial followings) who contribute content regularly.

Trip.Moments reaches travelers in more than 170 countries. The company reports creator participation rose throughout 2025, with average monthly activity increasing by over 45 percent.

Brand-Creator Matchmaking

Influencer 4 Biz functions as a collaboration hub linking verified creators with destinations, hotels, and travel service providers. The platform connects over 500,000 travel brands and suppliers with more than 10,000 qualified creators.

Commercial matches between creators and merchants grew by nearly 80% month-on-month in the past year, according to the company. A recent Global KOL China Exploration Program brought together creators from Argentina, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, and Kazakhstan, enabling collaboration with over 50 merchants. Participants saved more than $30,000 in travel expenses through the program, per the press release.

Creator Monetization

Trip.com Group established a CNY 100 million (~$14 million) incentive pool to support creator growth. The fund offers traffic-based rewards, product sales commissions via Trip Coins, and payouts for brand collaboration. Total collaboration value across Trip.com platforms doubled over the past year.

The incentive measures currently serve Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Hong Kong SAR. The company plans to expand to Europe in 2026, beginning with Italy, France, and Spain. The program is available on the Global English site.

“At Trip Community, we see creators not just as partners, but as the essential source of our ecosystem,” said Schubert Lou, CEO of Trip Community, speaking at a creator event in Istanbul, Turkey. “Valuing them means building the best possible environment for their creativity to flourish.”

The initiative builds on creator engagements held throughout 2025, including gatherings in Sanya and Istanbul, where the company invited creators to explore product capabilities and contribute to network growth.

“Our vision is to build more than a service – it’s a community that connects people through powerful content, driving inspiration and genuine emotional resonance,” Lou added.
