MMA fighter Michael “Venom” Page has signed with Misfits Boxing, the crossover promotion co-founded by KSI, in a multi-fight, multi-year agreement, per ESPN. The deal follows the expiration of Page’s UFC contract in September.
The 39-year-old British fighter went 5-1 in the UFC over two and a half years, closing his run there on a four-fight winning streak over Shara Magomedov, Jared Cannonier, Sam Patterson and Nursulton Ruziboev, all four by decision. He told the “Ariel Helwani Show” in September that he found it “disrespectful” that the UFC had not offered him a new deal.
“I’ve been in combat sports for a long time, and I’ve had plenty of options, but MF Sports is the right fit for me,” Page said in the statement. “They’re doing things differently, the energy is huge, and the fights are big. I’m excited for this new chapter, and I’m coming to show the boxing world what I can do.”
Misfits said Page is set to make his boxing debut “in the coming months.”
Page’s free agency had drawn interest beyond Misfits. Jake Paul publicly lobbied for him to join Most Valuable Promotions, posting “Think it’s time to bring MVP to MVP” on X in September. MVP has spent the summer consolidating its position in combat sports, merging with the Professional Fighters League in July to combine boxing and MMA under one company, and forming a “strategic alliance” with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing in July to develop women’s boxing talent jointly. Page instead chose Misfits, the crossover-boxing company Paul’s rival KSI has built since 2022.
Page was in London for Misfits Fight Night at the Copper Box Arena on October 10, where Joey Essex fought to a draw with Dapper Laughs.
