Fast-Casual Chain DIG Introduces Persian-Inspired Dish Through Influencer Collaboration
DIG, a Northeast-based fast-casual restaurant chain, has partnered with Persian-American content creator Cyrus Veyssi to launch a limited-time Persian-inspired menu item. The collaboration introduces Cyrus’ Sumac Yogurt and Chicken Plate, available at all DIG locations from May 28 through June 30.
The dish features charred chicken, a tomato and cucumber salad, and herb rice, topped with a sumac, lime, and mint yogurt sauce, served with a lemon wedge. Veyssi incorporates traditional Persian elements, including sumac and a Shirazi-style salad, into the modern interpretation.
“We’ve been longtime fans of Cyrus, so when we saw them posting organically about dining at DIG, we knew it was the perfect opportunity to formalize a partnership,” DIG Chief Marketing Officer Jessica Serrano said in a press release. “This collaboration allows us to introduce our guests to exciting new flavors and celebrate the rich diversity that defines our food landscape, while elevating home cooking and honoring authentic culinary traditions.”
Million-Plus Following
Veyssi has over one million followers across TikTok and Instagram combined. Their content spans family dynamics, beauty tips, dating advice, and social justice topics. The creator has secured brand partnerships, including serving as the face of Caudalie’s Vinoperfect campaign, and has recently appeared on Prime Video’s talk show “Influenced.”
“Creating this plate with DIG has allowed me to share flavors from my childhood with a wider audience, bringing in elements like sumac and a Shirazi-style salad as a small homage,” stated Veyssi. “As someone who navigates multiple identities, I’m passionate about bringing people together through food and showing how shared experiences can transcend barriers.”
DIG says it will donate 10% of sales from the dish purchased at Manhattan and Brooklyn locations to NYC PRIDE during Pride Month as part of its Patrons of Pride campaign. The plate starts at $13.75 and remains available for dine-in, takeout, and delivery through the DIG app and website.
