The Clios, the global awards company founded in 1959, has announced a new program recognizing creative excellence in digital content creation. Clio Creators launches in partnership with YouTube and Influencer Marketing company Influential and accepts submissions across Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, and other emerging platforms.
Two Tracks, One Program
The program operates across two submission tracks:
The Brand track: Honors brands that use creator talent, storytelling, and platform-native strategies to drive marketing objectives, cultural relevance, and audience engagement.
The Creator track: Recognizes work that promotes a creator’s own brand, persona, or content. Agencies, brands, and individuals are eligible to enter.
“For more than 65 years, the Clios have recognized creativity in many forms,” said Nicole Purcell, CEO of the Clios, in a statement. “Clio Creators extends our reach to the entire creator ecosystem, honoring how their work is shaping the creative business from brand partnerships to independent storytelling, and everything in between.”
Awards and Ceremony
The inaugural cycle will culminate in a November ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, where Grand Clio Creators Award winners will be announced on stage. The event will also stream on YouTube. Winning entries will receive Grand, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Clio Creator Awards, determined by a jury of creators, marketers, and agency leaders.
Partner Perspectives
Influential, which was acquired by Publicis Groupe in July 2024, will help identify creators and surface standout work for jury consideration.
“Influential is proud to help identify the right voices, surface standout work, and collaborate with the jury to celebrate campaigns and content defining this space,” said Chris Detert, Influential’s Chief Communications Officer.
YouTube framed its participation in terms of advertiser outcomes. “Brands are putting them at the heart of their campaigns because they drive exciting discoveries and confident decisions that deliver results,” said Anne Marie Nelson-Bogle, VP of Marketing, YouTube Ads.
