‘Beast Games’ Season 2 Trailer Teases ‘Survivor’ Crossover Episode Ahead Of Jan. 7 Premiere

Prime Video has released the first trailer for the second season of MrBeast’s “Beast Games,” offering an early look at a crossover episode with CBS’s long-running competition series “Survivor” ahead of the show’s January 7, 2026, premiere.

The new season will debut with three episodes on launch day, with additional episodes released weekly through a February 25 finale, according to Prime Video’s press release. The series will stream exclusively on the platform in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The trailer confirms a special crossover episode featuring “Survivor” host Jeff Probst, marking the first collaboration between the two competition franchises. Filmed in Fiji, the current production location for “Survivor,” the episode blends elements from both formats.

According to Prime Video, contestants will compete on a hybrid course combining “Beast Games” challenges with recognizable “Survivor” mechanics, including strategic twists, physical obstacles, and in-game incentives. The episode is positioned as a one-off special within the broader season.

Revised Competition Format

Season two introduces changes to the competition structure. The cast has been reduced to 200 contestants, down from 1,000 in the first season. Participants are split evenly between two groups: 100 competitors classified as the “strongest athletes” and 100 described as the “smartest minds.”

The season’s theme, “Strong vs. Smart,” centers on challenges designed to test both physical ability and cognitive strategy. Contestants will compete for a $5 million prize, half the $10 million awarded at the conclusion of the first season.

First Season Performance and Renewal

“Beast Games,” created and hosted by YouTuber MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), debuted on Prime Video on December 19, 2024. The inaugural season became the platform’s most-watched unscripted series, drawing 50 million viewers within its first 25 days, according to Prime Video. The show reached the No. 1 position in more than 50 countries, including the U.S., UK, Australia, and India.

Following that performance, Amazon renewed the series for two additional seasons, announcing the decision during its annual upfront presentation on May 12, 2025.

Donaldson returns as host and executive producer for season two. Sean Klitzner and Matt Apps serve again as showrunners and executive producers, while Tyler Conklin returns as series director. Additional executive producers include Michael Cruz, Jeff Housenbold, Michael Miller, Josh Kulic, and Chris Keiper. Donaldson co-created the series with Klitzner, Conklin, and Mack Hopkins.
