Airbnb Expands Creator Economy Strategy With New French Influencer Affiliate Program

Airbnb is launching a new influencer affiliate marketing program in France, joining major brands investing in creator-driven marketing strategies amid shifting employment patterns in the creator economy sector.

The home-sharing platform seeks a Growth & Influencer Marketing Operations Manager to spearhead the initiative from Paris on a six-month fixed-term contract. The position, which offers €74,000-€93,000 annually, requires candidates to oversee the end-to-end execution of the company’s affiliate influencer marketing campaigns in the region.

The new role involves directly managing multiple influencer partners and working closely with internal stakeholders across the organization. The position sits within Airbnb’s Growth Marketing team, which the company describes as operating “at the intersection of marketing, engineering and data science.”

Responsibilities include tracking deliverables, analyzing performance, and ensuring influencer content aligns with Airbnb’s brand guidelines. The successful candidate will coordinate influencer sourcing and management processes, potentially including external partnerships.

“The Growth Marketing team at Airbnb is at the intersection of marketing, engineering and data science. Our work is imperative to driving the top line of the entire company,” Airbnb states.

Context and Timing

Airbnb’s expansion into creator partnerships comes as the broader creator economy job market undergoes change. According to Creator Economy Jobs’ “Q2 2025” report, the sector’s job listings declined 25.9% year-over-year while part-time positions increased 56.7% in the same period.

The timing coincides with increased creator economy hiring activity from streaming platforms and artificial intelligence companies. Recent job postings show organizations including Twitch, OpusClip, ShopMy, and Moonbug Entertainment recruiting for creator-focused positions across content accounting, partnerships, and talent management.

The Airbnb role aligns with industry trends toward more substantive creator relationships. Rather than one-off campaigns, companies increasingly pursue extended partnerships for sustained brand visibility through creator-led content – a shift exemplified by Popfly and Hyundai’s recently announced “Director of Influence” position.

Required Expertise and Qualifications

Airbnb specifies that candidates need to demonstrate success in growing and managing affiliate influencer programs, have a good understanding of growth marketing channels, and possess at least four years of related work experience, particularly in influencer and affiliate marketing programs.

The position requires fluency in French and English, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and knowledge of influencer and affiliate marketing within the French market. Experience with affiliate marketing platforms, particularly the Impact platform, represents an advantage.

Geographic Significance

Airbnb’s focus on France corresponds with broader geographic trends in creator economy hiring. Creator Economy Jobs reports France experienced a 114.3% quarter-over-quarter increase in creator economy job openings in Q2 2025, the largest gain of any country outside the United States.

This growth occurred while European markets overall contracted 54.1% during the same period, making France an outlier in the region’s hiring market.

Applications for the Growth & Influencer Marketing Operations Manager position are currently listed as open, with Airbnb seeking candidates who can drive brand growth through the new affiliate influencer program.
