Adobe Partners With YouTube To Bring Premiere Mobile Editing Tools To Shorts Creators
Adobe launched a dedicated content creation space for YouTube Shorts within its Premiere mobile app for iOS. The partnership integrates Adobe’s video editing tools directly into the YouTube ecosystem, giving creators access to templates, effects, and direct publishing capabilities.
Integration Features and Capabilities
The “Create for YouTube Shorts” space provides creators with exclusive templates from top YouTube creators, along with built-in text, effects, and transition presets. Creators can access the space through a free Premiere mobile login and publish directly to their YouTube Shorts feed from their phones.

“Although content edited in Premiere mobile can be shared to other social platforms, what’s unique about this partnership is that creators getting inspiration from their YouTube Shorts feed can launch a template that caught their eye directly into Premiere mobile and start customizing it for their own channel,” Meagan Keane, Director of Product Marketing for Digital Video and Audio at Adobe, told TechCrunch.
The platform includes capabilities for uploading clips from iPhone camera rolls, cloud storage, or Adobe Creative Cloud. Creators can cut and trim clips, layer video and audio tracks, adjust color and brightness, and add text overlays and captions before exporting directly to YouTube.
The Positioning
The partnership positions Adobe’s tools as an alternative to competing platforms, including Meta’s Edits and ByteDance’s CapCut. YouTube creators can access Adobe’s editing tools without leaving the YouTube ecosystem.
“We’re excited to partner with YouTube to give creators the power to produce, share, and grow on the world’s biggest stage, YouTube,” said Ely Greenfield, Chief Technology Officer and SVP of Digital Media at Adobe, in the company’s announcement.
Scott Silver, Vice President of Engineering at YouTube, said the integration provides creators with “even more choice and access to more editing features to produce content the way they want, unlocking new ways for them to connect with their viewers and reach new audiences globally.”
Technical Implementation
Creators can download Adobe Premiere from the App Store and select the “Create for YouTube” option to access the creation space. The platform includes studio-quality audio features, AI sound effects, precision multi-track editing, and Firefly AI content generation capabilities. Creators can also create and submit their own original templates for other users.
Adobe introduced Premiere mobile in September 2025, bringing its video editing technology to mobile creators.
