Flightcast Adds Video Ad Delivery Across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and RSS

Flightcast, the video-first podcast hosting platform co-founded by “The Diary of a CEO” host Steven Bartlett and developer Rox Codes, has expanded its video advertising capabilities to let publishers run a single video ad campaign across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and RSS-based video feeds.

According to the company’s announcement, publishers can upload one video creative to a campaign within Flightcast and the platform delivers it across all three destinations, removing the need to build separate advertising workflows for each platform. The company says the move addresses a gap created as podcast consumption shifts toward video faster than monetization tools have kept pace, with different platforms imposing different technical requirements for video ad delivery.

The Spotify integration is central to the update. Spotify’s video ecosystem shows dynamic ad inventory only to non-premium users, and Flightcast’s infrastructure coordinates campaign delivery with Spotify’s systems so that eligible free-user video consumption can be monetized rather than going untracked.

“Publishers shouldn’t need a different monetization system for every platform their audience uses,” said Rox Codes, Flightcast’s CEO and co-founder. “Flightcast is built to remove that complexity. A publisher can create a campaign, add their creative and trust that it will run correctly everywhere. Publishers get to do what they do best: create great content. They don’t need to know what HLS is. That’s our job.”

Publishers can still run traditional audio ads against video content, paired with a static image, while the new tools apply to campaigns built specifically for video creative.

The expansion builds on a rollout of video infrastructure at Flightcast. The platform added full video support for Apple Podcasts and HTTP Live Streaming publishing in May, giving all customers the ability to switch between audio and video formats without re-uploading existing episodes. That update followed Apple’s February rollout of a video podcast experience across iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro and the web. Flightcast has also previously supported programmatic advertising within video podcast content, positioning the latest expansion as another piece of what the company calls a unified advertising infrastructure for podcasts regardless of where audiences consume them.

Flightcast operates as part of Bartlett’s media holding company, Steven.com, which closed an eight-figure funding round at a $425 million valuation in October 2025, backed by Slow Ventures, Apeiron Investment Group, Gary Vaynerchuk and Alex Hormozi, among others. The round gave Bartlett capital to scale Steven.com’s divisions, including FlightStory and FlightFund, while retaining more than 90% ownership.

“Every impression matters,” Codes said. “Our creators rely on us to work behind the scenes to maximize the impressions available to them everywhere their content is consumed.”
