YouTube to Stream Coachella 2026 Across Seven Stages in 4K
YouTube will livestream both weekends of Coachella 2026 beginning April 10, expanding this year’s coverage to seven simultaneous stages and introducing 4K resolution for the Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre, and Sahara for the first time.
Weekend one begins at 4 p.m. PT on April 10 via Coachella’s YouTube channel, with weekend two following on April 17 at the same time. The Quasar stage will stream in both horizontal and vertical formats, with the vertical feed shot on Pixel.
Alongside the live coverage, YouTube is introducing “Coachella TV,” a 24/7 linear stream featuring archival performances and highlights from the 2026 festival. The channel will update following each weekend. The feature is part of YouTube’s broader rollout of “Stations,” a product the company has been testing with roughly 40 musicians, according to The Verge. Stations allow creators to set up a playlist and launch a continuous linear stream without broadcasting software.
“A creator can come onto YouTube, go into our studio product, set up a playlist of videos,” YouTube Senior Product Management Director Kurt Wilms told The Verge. “They click ‘Start Station,’ and we’ll do all the work to start the livestream for them.”
Living Room and Interactive Features
YouTube reports that over half of Coachella’s total livestream watch time last year originated from living room devices. This year, the platform is expanding its Multiview feature, which lets viewers stream up to four stages simultaneously on TV while toggling between audio feeds.
YouTube also launched its Gemini-powered conversational AI tools within its TV app earlier this week. The feature allows viewers to ask questions about a video using their TV’s voice remote, with answers and deep links appearing alongside the content. “The sky is the limit on how you can use it,” Wilms told The Verge.
Creator and Commerce Integrations
The “Watch With” series returns for weekend two, pairing creators including Valkyrae, Terry, Kaniyia, and Daniel Wall with select performances. A virtual merchandise store through YouTube Shopping will offer limited-edition drops from artists including BINI, Laufey, The xx, and Young Thug.
Weekend one is sponsored by NYX Professional Makeup, T-Mobile, SONIC, and 20th Century Studios. Weekend two sponsors include NYX Professional Makeup, Tide Evo, and Coach in the U.S.
