The Team, Formerly Wasserman, Acquires Golf Creator Agency Representing Grant Horvat, Bryan Bros
The Team has acquired Provisions Golf, a boutique creator agency representing professional golfer Grant Horvat and golf influencers the Bryan Bros, expanding the former Wasserman firm’s position in golf creator representation.
Provisions Golf founders Joe Gilliland and Josh Morgan will join The Team as Senior Vice Presidents following the acquisition. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Bryan Bros, comprising former PGA Tour players Wesley and George Bryan, have more than 850,000 YouTube subscribers, while Horvat has approximately 1.7 million subscribers on his channel.
“Over the last few years, we have had a front row seat to the evolution of golf, media, and the Creator Economy,” Morgan said in an announcement. “It has been special to see creators bring new audiences into the game and connect with fans in a more personal and authentic way.”
Michael Jones, EVP of Creators at The Team, said the acquisition expands the firm’s position in digital golf and advances its ability to help talent build beyond traditional representation into content, products, and live experiences.
“Joe and Josh have a deep understanding of where golf, media, and creator-led properties are heading,” Jones said.
Jason Ranne, President of The Team’s global talent representation, pointed to the firm’s existing golf event management, brand advisory, and representation business as a source of crossover opportunities for clients from both organizations.
Growing Creator Golf Ecosystem
The acquisition comes as golf creator content continues to attract institutional investment. In April, Source Media Group launched Source Golf, a YouTube-based advertising network aggregating content from Horvat, the Bryan Bros, and Bryson DeChambeau, who has 2.6 million YouTube subscribers. The network allows advertisers to buy against existing creator content without requiring participants to produce new material.
Horvat and the Bryan Bros also announced Your Golf Tour in March, a multi-year competitive circuit for 16 YouTube golfers featuring a $1 million season-ending championship at Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas.
Company Context
The Team, which rebranded from Wasserman in March, is currently fielding acquisition offers after founder Casey Wasserman put the firm up for sale in February. United Talent Agency and WIN, the upstart firm led by WME’s Patrick Whitesell, have each submitted non-binding bids. The company operates across 70 cities globally and also holds properties, including a music agency group, a production-management firm, Brillstein, and a marketing services unit.
