SocialChain Taps Havas Play UK Veteran Sophie Berman to Lead Influencer Division
Social media marketing agency SocialChain has appointed Sophie Berman as Head of Influencer, placing her in charge of the integrated social agency’s CreatorChain offering as parent company Brave Bison pursues continued expansion across creator marketing.
As Mediashotz reports, Berman joins from Havas Play UK, where she served as Head of Talent and Influencer. Her decade-plus career spans agency and in-house roles across the UK, EU, and U.S. markets, with influencer campaigns for brands including Adidas, JBL, Foot Locker, JD Sports, Aston Martin, Formula 1, and PUMA.
In her new position, Berman reports to CEO Jacinta Faul and leads CreatorChain, SocialChain’s end-to-end creator marketing unit. She will oversee influencer strategy, talent and partnerships, commercial growth, and the development of operational tools for campaign delivery at scale. She will also work alongside SocialChain’s creative, strategy, and client services teams to integrate influencer marketing into broader social-first strategies.
CreatorChain’s current client roster includes loveholidays, YouTube, Primark, and LinkedIn.
CreatorChain Background
CreatorChain expanded following SocialChain’s acquisition and integration of The Fifth from News UK in April 2025.
“There’s a huge opportunity to deepen how brands collaborate with creators, not just as media channels, but as long-term partners across content, commerce and culture,” Berman said in a statement.
Faul added: “Her ability to connect talent, culture and brand storytelling makes her the ideal person to lead the continued evolution of our CreatorChain offering.”
Parent Company Performance
SocialChain operates under Brave Bison, an AIM-listed marketing and technology firm that reported a 57% revenue increase for 2025, reaching £33.5 million. Adjusted profit before tax rose 41% to £5.5 million. The company projects £45 million in net revenue for 2026.
