Publicis Groupe Acquires UK Social Agency Fabric Social

Publicis Groupe has announced the acquisition of Fabric Social, a UK-based social-first creative agency, for an undisclosed sum. The deal positions Fabric as the flagship social agency within Publicis Groupe UK’s PR, social, and influencer division.

Niall McGarry founded Fabric Social in 2021, and the agency has since grown to more than 110 staff. The company reported revenues of approximately £13 million in the 12 months to March 2026. Fabric’s client roster includes Sky, Subway EMEA, Currys, Morrisons, Just Eat, Autotrader, Holland & Barrett, and Vodafone.

The Drum recognized Fabric as a joint top-performing social media agency, and the agency won “Best Large Agency” at the 2025 Global Social Media Awards as well as a Cannes Lion.

Deal Structure

Fabric Social will operate as a standalone business within Publicis Groupe’s PR, social, and influencer division under the group’s “Power of One” model. McGarry will join the leadership board of the division, which Rebecca Grant leads as UK Chief Executive of Publicis Groupe.

McGarry called the acquisition his “absolute proudest moment in business to date,” adding that Fabric would become “the go-to-market social agency” for the group. Managing Director Lauren Sarginson said the next phase would be “supercharged by the Publicis engine.”

Grant described the deal as a continuation of the group’s investment in building “best-in-class capabilities” across PR, social, and Influencer Marketing.

Publicis Creator Economy Strategy

The Fabric acquisition follows a series of Creator Economy deals by Publicis Groupe. In July 2024, the group acquired Influential, the world’s largest influencer network by revenue, for approximately $500 million. It acquired influencer marketing software platform Captiv8 for approximately $150 million in May 2025, and sports and culture agency 160over90 from WME Group for more than $500 million on April 2, 2026. Together, Influential and Captiv8 provide access to more than 15 million creators.

Publicis CEO Arthur Sadoun has stated the group’s goal is to position Publicis “at the centre of the new media ecosystem” by combining creator access with proprietary data capabilities.
