Podcast Movement and Sounds Profitable announced that the annual Podcast Movement conference will take place in New York City for the first time, hosted at Terminal 5 from September 14-18, 2026.
According to the announcement, the five-day event will be divided into distinct experiences targeting different segments of the podcast ecosystem.
The Sounds Profitable Business Summit will run September 14-15, offering an executive-level program for senior industry decision-makers and brand and agency media buyers. The summit will feature keynotes, panels, workshops, and curated networking, with fully catered meals organized around structured seating to facilitate connections.
Sounds Profitable partners will receive early ticket access and the ability to purchase two tickets shareable across their organization. Non-partners will be limited to one ticket per organization. Brand and agency buyers will receive free access to the summit.
On September 16, Podcast Movement will pause daytime programming to coincide with the IAB Upfronts. That evening, the organization will host an industry party at Terminal 5 with Locked On Podcast Network, among the confirmed sponsors.
The main Podcast Movement conference will run September 17-18, targeting creators ranging from hobbyists to multi-platform media entrepreneurs. Session submissions will be voted on by the podcast industry, and programming will include tactical panels, vendor showcases, and networking events.
“Throughout each evolution of the media industry, one thing has remained constant: New York City has always been at the heart of it all,” said Bryan Barletta, President of Podcast Movement and Partner at Sounds Profitable. “Bringing Podcast Movement to New York is a signal to the broader media landscape that podcasting is no longer an emerging medium. We’re a multi-billion dollar industry that’s not even close to its peak.”
Podcast Movement launched in 2014 and has grown into an annual conference focused on education, networking, and industry development.
Sponsors and Tickets
Early-stage sponsors for the event include ADOPTER Media, ART19, ESPN, Locked On Podcast Network, Magellan AI, Red Seat Ventures, Right Side Up, and SoundStack. Sponsorship opportunities and tickets will go on sale at a later date via podcastmovement.com, with the organization noting that sponsorship availability is limited.
