New Platform Targets Payment Gap In Creator Economy

Sundial Media & Technology Group and Creator Currency Networks have unveiled CreateHer Network, a platform designed to address economic disparities in the creator economy. The initiative responds to research showing women control $31.8 trillion in global consumer spending and influence 85% of U.S. purchasing decisions, yet earn approximately 30% less than male creators in brand partnerships.

“Women are the primary drivers of consumer behavior and cultural trends, yet the creator economy hasn’t evolved to properly compensate them for this influence,” said Kirk McDonald, CEO of Sundial Media & Technology Group, in a press release.

Platform Structure

CreateHer Network has secured initial partnerships with publishers including ESSENCE, Refinery29, BeautyCon, Curly Culture and CurlyCon. The platform provides members with three core resources:

  • Capital access and revenue optimization tools
  • Technology infrastructure with proprietary analytics
  • Equitable brand partnership opportunities

“When we started Creator Currency Networks, we knew the biggest opportunity was fixing how women creators get paid,” stated Cedric J. Rogers, co-founder of Creator Currency Networks.

The first creator cohort launches this fall with brand partnerships and content activations across major U.S. cities. Early access applications open in August, with full platform launch scheduled for Q4 2025.
