“Mamamia Out Loud” retained the No. 1 position on Triton Digital‘s “Australian Podcast Ranker” for July 2026, with 950,673 monthly listeners, as “ABC News Top Stories” broke into the top three, moving up one spot to No. 3 with 468,815 listeners.
“Hamish & Andy” from LiSTNR (SCA) held the No. 2 position with 878,712 monthly listeners, unchanged from the prior month. ABC News Top Stories’ rise to No. 3 pushed News Corp Australia’s “News24 Update” down one spot to No. 4, at 458,272 listeners. The Top 300 All-Australian Ranker, which counts only podcasts commissioned by an Australian publisher, produced an identical top three.

Triton’s Demos+ tool, which uses opt-in, download-based behavior data, found News was the top listener category in July, followed by Society & Culture and Sports.
Further down the ranker, “Straight Talk with Mark Bouris” from Mentored Studios posted the sharpest climb inside the top 20, rising 21 places to No. 19 with 235,582 monthly listeners. Several shows further down the list saw larger single-month swings, including “Dino Dome” from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, which climbed 83 places to No. 157, and “Virginia | The Age & SMH Investigates” from Nine Publishing, which rose 231 places to No. 64.
July also brought a slate of new entries. International-only debuts included “The Dead Can’t Sue” from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, “Joel Osteen Daily Podcast” from ARN/iHeart, and “100% Footy” from Nine Publishing. Debuts among Australian-made shows included “Freddy and the Eighth” (Nine Publishing), “Ready or Not” (NOVA Entertainment), “Project 100 with Mark Bouris” (Mentored Studios), “Unfiltered with Hamish McLachlan” (LiSTNR (SCA)), and “After America” (The Australia Institute). Three shows, “The Disappearance of Katie Walker” (NOVA Entertainment), “Pretty Sure” (NOVA Entertainment), and “The Adam Shand Collection” (Podshape), debuted across both the international and Australian-made rankers simultaneously.
