Linktree Unveils AI Design Tools, Expands Canva Integration To Boost Creator Monetization

Linktree, the platform which connects creators’ audiences to their online content, has introduced AI-powered design features and expanded its Canva integration as part of a strategy to help its 70 million users monetize more effectively.

The company has launched three new AI-powered tools aimed at making professional design more accessible to creators without design expertise. “Enhance” provides one-click profile makeovers by analyzing profiles and suggesting tailored updates based on top-performing Linktrees. The feature recommends improvements aligned with each user’s brand, such as highlighting tour dates for musicians or seasonal promotions for small businesses.

A new “Restyle Your Image with AI” feature enables users to transform profile images into different artistic styles, such as cartoon, sketch, or 3D renderings. The platform has also introduced “Suggested Titles”, which automatically generates more compelling link descriptions when users add content, replacing generic labels with more engaging alternatives.

Canva Integration

Canva’s integration, previously limited to premium accounts, now extends to all Linktree users, including those on free plans. From the profile editor, users can open Canva to create designs, edit existing ones, or update profile pictures, with changes flowing directly back to Linktree. Premium yearly subscribers automatically receive a Canva Pro subscription as part of the update.

The move follows a similar integration trend among creator tools. Sprout Social recently added Canva integration to streamline social media publishing workflows, allowing completed designs to transfer directly to publishing calendars while preserving captions, tags, and scheduled times.

Targeting the Mid-Tier Creator Segment

Linktree’s design updates complement existing monetization features aimed at creators looking to diversify revenue streams. These include selling online courses through a Kajabi partnership, digital products, sponsored links for U.S. users, and affiliate marketing through Linktree Shops.

The focus on design accessibility potentially addresses needs of mid-tier creators, who according to recent Pew Research, represent the largest segment of creator accounts. Creators with 50,000 to 499,999 followers constitute 42% of creator accounts followed by U.S. adults on TikTok, compared to just 10% for those with more than 1 million followers.

Profile Optimization

The Pew study indicates profile optimization correlates strongly with account size, with 82% of the most-followed accounts featuring profile links compared to 33% of smaller accounts. Linktree leads as the preferred link service among creators, representing 34% of all creator bio links.

“For many people, a Linktree is the first place their audience goes to learn more about them,” the company states in its blog post. “These new tools make high-quality design more accessible, helping users create profiles that look professional and feel personal, whether they’re driving sales, sharing content, or building community.”

The design updates form part of Linktree’s broader strategy to position itself beyond a simple “link-in-bio” tool toward what creator Alli Weatherly describes as “a full-scale business platform” for intentional monetization.

Creator Amber Lewis notes in Linktree’s blog that one of the biggest challenges for creators is “building sustainable, diversified revenue streams without overwhelming themselves across too many platforms,” suggesting the company’s integration of design, distribution, and monetization addresses a key market need.
