Kickstarter Launches ‘Power of Belief’ Brand Campaign in New York City

Kickstarter has launched “Power of Belief,” a new brand campaign built around the message that “Belief is human.” According to the company’s announcement, the campaign centers on stories of creators who brought ideas to Kickstarter and found backers willing to support them.

The campaign debuted with month-long out-of-home placements across New York City, where Kickstarter was founded in 2009. Executions include thousands of digital taxi tops, hundreds of digital kiosk screens, a media truck touring the city, and a digital display in Times Square.

Kickstarter also launched a dedicated digital experience featuring stories from creators who used the platform to fund their ideas. The initial videos include three creators:

  • Candi Jenkins, an indie artist who raised more than $35,000 for her debut album while retaining creative independence;
  • Kisi Apaak, who funded a series of phone-free zine parties designed to build in-person community;
  • Tjani Warren, a New York City DJ who raised more than $27,000 for Papa Nono Mimi, an olive oil brand made by his grandfather-in-law in Italy for 75 years.

“‘Power of Belief’ is inspired by what we’ve seen on Kickstarter every day for almost two decades,” said Courtney Brown Warren, Chief Marketing Officer at Kickstarter. “Before something becomes a success, before it even gets funded, it starts as just a thing someone believed in. Millions of creators and backers know this. We wanted to make sure the new generation of creators and backers knew it too. We know so many young people are looking for places where they can feel hopeful, where they can feel a sense of agency, where they can still believe that they have the power to shape the world around them. This campaign is for them.”

Kickstarter said “Power of Belief” will serve as its core brand platform for 2026 and beyond.
