Cheil India Hires Former Reckitt Digital Creative Lead to Run Samsung’s Social and Influencer Marketing

Cheil India has appointed Geetika Chadha as Associate VP of Social and Influencer Marketing for its Samsung business, per Campaign India. Chadha joins from Reckitt, where she most recently led digital creative transformation for the company’s health portfolio.

In the role, Chadha will lead the agency’s social and Influencer Marketing mandate for Samsung. Her remit includes strengthening its approach to creator-led engagement and culturally relevant brand storytelling.

Chadha has nearly two decades of experience across integrated marketing, brand solutions, content-to-commerce and Influencer Marketing. Before Reckitt, she spent nearly a decade at Mindshare, where she led the North India Content+ business. In 2022, she received a commendation for South Asia Channel/Engagement Planner of the Year at the Campaign Agency of the Year Awards (South Asia). Her earlier roles included leadership positions at Havas Worldwide, Iris Worldwide and Webchutney, spanning integrated marketing, content and digital-led brand solutions.

Kumar Awanish, group COO of Cheil SWA, tied the hire to a change in how brands approach audiences. “The marketing landscape has shifted; brands need to stop interrupting and start entertaining through authentic influence to capture effective audiences,” he said. “Geetika has the perfect blend of creative acumen and business strategy to elevate our social capabilities.”

Chadha said Influencer Marketing has moved beyond awareness to become a business driver, with brands seeking measurable outcomes across the consumer journey. “As the Creator Economy earns a more defined place within marketing investments, there is a significant opportunity to build integrated creator-led solutions that connect culture, commerce and business impact,” she said. “I am excited to join Cheil India at this inflection point.”

The appointment follows a run of senior creator-focused hires at agencies and brands. Whalar created a Global Chief Creator Officer role in 2023 and filled it with Ashley Rudder. BrandArmy followed in 2024, and Edelman named Kenny Gold to a global version of the title in 2026. Brands including Amazon, Coca-Cola, Red Bull and Unilever have also listed creator-native jobs this year.
