Warner Bros. Sold Rooster Teeth’s Roost Podcast to Talent Agency Managing MrBeast, Kai Cenat

Warner Bros. Discovery has sold Rooster Teeth’s Roost Podcast Network to Night, a talent management company representing prominent YouTubers and Twitch streamers, including MrBeast and Kai Cenat. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The sale comes about a month after WBD decided to close the gaming-focused Rooster Teeth, the digital media company it acquired in 2014.

“As of last week, Night has officially acquired the Rooster Teeth podcast network, The Roost. I grew up watching Rooster Teeth and all of its shows, so this one comes full circle when we got an opportunity to look at this deal,” Night founder and CEO Reed Duchscher wrote on LinkedIn.

According to Variety, the Roost podcast network consists of 47 original podcasts and garners over 350 million views and 20 million monthly audio downloads. Night plans to keep most of the network team, including leader A.J. Feliciano.

Notable podcasts moving under Night’s management include “This Past Weekend With Theo Von,” “H3” with Ethan and Hila Klein, “The Phil DeFranco Show,” “The Yard” with Ludwig, Nick, Slime and Aiden, and “Jeff FM” hosted by Jeff Wittek.

However, “Flashback With Smosh,” hosted by Smosh founders Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox, will not be part of the deal, with the duo set to announce separate plans for their podcast.

“The Roost’s distinctive brand identity, loyal talent and partner network, and mission to be ‘the podcast network for creators’ align seamlessly with Night’s overarching strategy,” Duchscher said in a statement, Variety reported.

“The team at The Roost is excited to join Night, a forward-thinking company that has long understood the potential of creators,” Feliciano added.

Founded in 2015 by former sports agent Duchscher, Night operates several divisions, including talent management, Night Labs, Night Studios, and Night Ventures.
