TikToker Khaby Lame Named Global Brand Ambassador for Holafly
Khaby Lame, TikTok’s most-followed creator, has joined Holafly as the travel eSIM company’s Global Brand Ambassador.
The partnership pairs Lame’s signature persona, built on simplifying overcomplicated solutions, with Holafly’s pitch to travelers: activating mobile data before departure and connecting within minutes of landing, without hunting for local SIM cards or absorbing roaming charges. Holafly says it has sold more than 25 million eSIMs and offers coverage in more than 200 destinations.
“Khaby became a global phenomenon by reminding people that the simplest solution is often the best one,” said Daniela Prado, Brand Director at Holafly, in a press release. “When we examined what makes his content resonate with hundreds of millions of people around the world, we recognised that it reflects exactly what travelers expect today. Whether they are booking a flight, navigating a new city or staying in touch with family and colleagues, people value experiences that feel seamless, intuitive and dependable.”
Holafly said the deal builds on an existing relationship, noting Lame has used the company’s service while traveling internationally, and framed the tie-up as a natural extension given his audience’s reach across major travel markets.
Broader Ambassador Portfolio
The Holafly deal is the latest in a string of institutional and brand partnerships Lame has taken on over roughly the past 18 months. On January 31, 2025, UNICEF appointed him a Goodwill Ambassador focused on youth initiatives in Senegal. UN Tourism followed in November 2025, naming him an ambassador for responsible tourism and cultural heritage. In March, the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee named him an ambassador ahead of the Games, the first Olympic sporting event to be held in Africa, alongside figures including actor Omar Sy and footballer Kalidou Koulibaly.
That portfolio has leaned heavily toward nonprofit and governmental bodies; Holafly represents a more conventional commercial ambassador role, tying Lame’s global following directly to a consumer travel product rather than a cause or institution.
Lame, who built his following during the COVID-19 pandemic through wordless reactions to unnecessarily complicated life hacks, commands more than 160 million followers on TikTok and an estimated 360 million across platforms.
