Reddit Announces New E-Commerce Ad Tools, Shopify Integration to Capture High-Intent Shoppers

Reddit unveiled a suite of new shopping advertising products, expanding its Dynamic Product Ads (DPA) platform ahead of Shoptalk 2026. The additions include Collection Ads, community-specific ad overlays, a Shopify integration, and an AI-powered shopping feature in search.

Collection Ads and Community Overlays

Collection Ads allow advertisers to pair a lifestyle hero image with shoppable product tiles in a single DPA carousel. Reddit says early advertisers following its best practices are seeing an 8% lift in return on ad spend (ROAS) with the format.

The platform is also testing two overlay types that surface Reddit-native signals within ads. Community overlays flag products resonating on the platform with labels such as “Redditors’ Top Pick,” while Deal overlays automatically display discounts and sale pricing from advertiser catalogs.

A new Shopify integration, currently in alpha, automates catalog and pixel setup for new DPA advertisers. Reddit says the integration enables the platform to automatically identify which products to show to a given user based on context.

AI-Powered Shopping Search

In February, Reddit began testing interactive product carousels within search results for a small group of U.S.-based users. When a user submits a shopping-related query such as “best noise-canceling headphones,” the feature surfaces a carousel with pricing, images, and links to retailers. Products shown reflect what is resonating on Reddit and, for electronics queries, from select DPA partner catalogs.

Platform Performance Data

Reddit reports a 40% year-over-year increase in high-intent shopping conversations on the platform and says that 84% of U.S. shoppers surveyed feel more confident about their purchases after researching products on Reddit. DPA delivered an average of 91% higher ROAS year-over-year in Q4 2025, according to the company.

A 2026 Fospha study, cited by Reddit, found that businesses that scaled Reddit investment saw cost per purchase improve by 34%, and identified Reddit as the most undervalued channel in the media mix.

“Since launching Reddit DPA in April 2025, we’ve seen a transformative shift in our lower-funnel efficiency,” said Karilyn Anderson, VP of Media and Retention at Liquid I.V. “DPA has already generated 33% of our total platform revenue.”
