LOST iN Travel Brand Adds Industry Veterans To Board After Strong Growth Year

Travel media company LOST iN has appointed three new board advisors as it reports significant growth milestones. The company added Max Tcheyan, co-founder of Puck; Paul Cohen, co-founder of travel consultancy ieLimited; and David Wurth, founder of PLYR Technologies and C Suite Media.

The appointments come as LOST iN surpassed 12 million followers across platforms and projects, with more than $1 million in advertising revenue by year-end. Nearly 70% of that revenue stems from advertising and branded partnerships, according to the company’s press release.

CEO Jonathan Skogmo describes the appointments as reflecting “the ambition we have to scale the business and further establish LOST iN as the go-to brand for travel lifestyle and culture.”

Each advisor brings specific expertise to the company’s development. Tcheyan helped build Puck and previously served as VP of Growth at The Athletic. Cohen brings more than 20 years of experience working with tourism boards and hospitality groups. Wurth transformed CSQ from a regional magazine into a national media and events platform.

Transformation Under New Leadership

Since new leadership took over 15 months ago, LOST iN has pivoted from its print-first model to focus on premium guidebooks, short-form social video, influencer collaborations, and live experiences. The company recently released “LOST iN Brooklyn,” the 29th book in its franchise and the second in its Neighborhoods Collection.

The company also produces campaigns for various cities, highlighting local food, music, wellness, design, and culture.

LOST iN previously raised $4 million in an oversubscribed seed round led by MaC Venture Capital, with participation from BDMI, Pitbull Ventures, and individual investors, including Pocket.watch founder Chris Williams and Fullscreen founder George Strompolos.

Founded in 2014, LOST iN initially gained recognition for its award-winning travel guidebooks before expanding across digital platforms.
