Influencer Hires Former TikTok MENA Executive Conor Thompson to Lead Brand Partnerships

Marketing agency Influencer has appointed Conor Thompson as Executive Director, Brand Partnerships for the Middle East and North Africa, pulling the former TikTok MENA consumer client solutions lead into a role building creator-led partnerships for brands and agencies across the region, per Campaign.

Thompson spent more than four years at TikTok MENA, most recently leading the MENA Consumer Client Solutions Team, where he ran go-to-market strategy and revenue growth across the automotive, technology, and food and beverage categories while working directly with major brands and agencies. Before TikTok, he held senior commercial and partnerships roles at Pinterest EMEA, serving agency and enterprise clients in the DACH market.

At Influencer, Thompson will work with brands and agencies to integrate creators across the full customer journey, from discovery and consideration through purchase and loyalty.

“Brands across MENA want culturally relevant work that delivers measurable growth,” said Rabah Assaf, Head of MENA at Influencer. “The opportunity is to build creator partnerships that earn trust over time and connect that influence to business outcomes. Conor brings a strong understanding of regional brands and agencies, alongside experience across product, creative and measurement, to help clients realise that potential.”

The hire extends a pattern at Influencer of recruiting leadership directly from the platforms it partners with. In May, the agency named Stuart Flint, former VP of Europe Sales at TikTok and now SVP and Managing Director EMEA at DoubleVerify, to its advisory board, citing his platform experience as an asset for international growth. Thompson’s appointment similarly follows Influencer’s push to deepen its MENA presence, where the agency already runs teams in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

The move comes as Influencer broadens its service lines beyond traditional creator marketing into social commerce and AI-powered discovery, including a Creator-First AEO offering developed with Profound.

Founded in 2015 by Ben Jeffries and Caspar Lee, the agency operates across London, New York, Los Angeles, Berlin, Riyadh, and Dubai, holds official marketing partnerships with TikTok, YouTube, Meta, Pinterest, Snap, and Twitch, and counts Google, Coca-Cola, Amazon, Nike, Spotify, Monzo, and SharkNinja among its clients.
