Druski to Become First Digital Creator to Host ‘Saturday Night Live,’ per Report

Druski, the sketch comedian who built his following on Instagram and TikTok, will host “Saturday Night Live” on November 7, making him the first digital-native creator to host the NBC sketch show, according to a Puck report.

“SNL” has added cast members who arrived with substantial social media followings, including Jeremy Culhane, Grace Reiter and Veronika Slowikowska, but has never given the host’s chair to a creator whose career started online. Kim Kardashian, who hosted in October 2021, came closest as a reality star and influencer, according to TheWrap.

Druski, whose real name is Drew Desbordes, began posting comedic videos on Instagram in 2017 and built an audience around characters including the “frat bro” Kyle Rogger, a ruthless record label executive, and mega-church pastors. In 2026, his portrayal of Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk drew more than 100 million views in two days, following a mega-church sketch that had already passed 70 million views.

His reach extended beyond sketch comedy into music, with appearances in videos for Lil Yachty, Drake and Jack Harlow, and stints opening and hosting shows for Harlow. He founded Coulda Been Records to give artists a platform through his Instagram Lives, a project that grew into Coulda Fest, a sold-out hybrid comedy and music festival launched in fall 2024 and expanded into an arena tour in 2025. Around that period, he landed at No. 9 on Forbes’ top creators list after reportedly earning $14 million.

That trajectory was reinforced in August, when Rolling Stone named Druski the most influential creator of 2026, ranking him ahead of iShowSpeed and Hasan Piker on its list of 25. The outlet cited his 41-plus-million followers and his turn as the youngest-ever host of the BET Awards, and quoted him describing his approach to influence: “To be influential, you gotta be iconic. You have to believe in yourself first before anybody else believes in you.”

Druski’s hosting slot follows an “SNL” lineup that included New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, Dakota Johnson and Shane Gillis, TheWrap reported. It also continues a pattern of late-night and sketch programs pulling in creators: MrBeast made his “Tonight Show” debut in February, Jake Shane has appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and Brittany Broski has appeared on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
