Creative Network Residence Reshapes Leadership With Dual Appointments
Residence, the global network of creative companies, has appointed Ben Langsfeld as Chief Creative Officer and elevated co-founder Orion Tait to Creative Chair, the company announced.
Langsfeld’s appointment centers on client-facing responsibilities and day-to-day creative leadership across the network. His mandate includes identifying where Residence creates a competitive advantage and assembling cross-company teams to address specific client needs.
Tait, who has served as Chief Creative Officer since Residence’s founding in 2022, moves into a role focused on long-term creative vision and cultural stewardship. He will also continue overseeing BUCK’s IP initiatives, including BUCK Games and original animation development.
“My job is to know which combination a problem actually needs, bring those voices together, and make sure the name Residence means something when it walks into a room,” Langsfeld said.
Leadership Backgrounds
Both executives are co-founders of BUCK, the creative company that anchors the Residence network.
Langsfeld, a founding BUCK member, previously served as the company’s Chief Design Officer, where he oversaw work for clients including Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Pepsi. Tait is a filmmaker, fine artist, and graphic designer whose career spans animation, visual effects, and live action across advertising, broadcast, film, and entertainment.
CEO Ryan Honey noted the longevity of the relationships involved. “I’ve known Ben since 1999. He was in college, and he’s only ever worked with us since,” Honey said. “Ben and Orion have shaped what Residence is.”
Network Context
Residence operates as a collection of standalone creative companies, each maintaining its own identity and leadership, while sharing resources and cross-company collaboration capabilities.
The appointments follow recent acquisitions, including OK Cool and the rebranding of VTProDesign to ACRONYM, which the company cited as markers of its recent growth trajectory.
