Acast Names Former Apple & Meta Product Leader VP Product, Promotes U.S. Sales Chief

Acast has named Mark Bulling, a product leader with stints at Apple, Meta and WPP Media, as its new VP Product, and promoted Ricardo Neto to the newly created role of Managing Director, U.S. Sales.

Bulling joins from Choreograph, WPP Media’s data and technology arm, where he spent two and a half years leading AI and innovation, founding the company’s Prototyping & Innovation team and steering adoption of Open Media Assistant, WPP Media’s internal AI platform. He previously served as SVP Product Innovation at EssenceMediacom, applying machine learning to campaign performance, and before that as Senior Product Strategist at Apple Ad Platforms, where he worked on the international expansion of Search Ads. He also spent five years at Facebook. At Acast, Bulling will lead product strategy across the company’s creator and advertiser offerings and will report to SVP Product & Engineering Ioana Havsfrid from Acast Studios London.

“Businesses like ours thrive when product and commercial move hand in hand; that’s how you build the things that creators want to use, audiences enjoy, and advertisers want to buy,” said Acast CEO Greg Glenday. Bulling said creators are “building audiences across audio, video and social, while measurement and buying evolve fast alongside them.”

Neto’s promotion follows what Acast calls its fastest-growing region globally. The company said U.S. net sales climbed 37% organically in Q2 2026, driven by advertiser demand and a publisher roster that now includes The Washington Post, The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast, Slate and The Athletic. Neto, who joined Acast in 2023 from roles at Spotify and Penske Media, will report to Laura Hagen, SVP, Regional Managing Director, Americas & Global Head of Agency Relations, and will oversee all U.S. sales, spanning host-read sponsorships, brand-made ads and programmatic buying.

“Our recent acquisitions and the premium content we’ve added to the marketplace give buyers a proposition no one else in podcasting can match,” Neto said.

Both moves land in the middle of a month of expansion activity at Acast. The company acquired U.S. podcast network Backyard Ventures for $20 million, opened video publishing on Apple Podcasts to every creator on its platform, and partnered with newsletter platform Kit to help podcasters add newsletters and newsletter writers add audio, with sign-on incentives that scale to a creator’s existing audience.
