Media Tech Company Entravision Launches Reyna, a Creator-Led Media Platform for Latinas

Entravision has launched Reyna, a multimedia platform the company describes as the first creator-led platform built by and for Latinas. The launch includes a mobile app, digital streaming at somosreyna.com, and a flagship FM radio station, Reyna 103.1 FM (KDLD), in Los Angeles. The company scheduled a launch party at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles to mark the launch.

According to the launch announcement, Reyna targets what Entravision calls an underserved audience: 34 million Latinas in the U.S. representing $1.3 trillion in buying power. Content runs 80% Spanish and 20% English, spanning music, digital segments, podcasts and social content across mobile, video and on-air formats.

Seven creators anchor the platform’s launch lineup. Adriana Gallardo, founder of Emprendiendo Latinos and CEO of Adriana’s Insurance, covers leadership and financial independence. Vicky Loza, founder of Raize Fit, addresses fitness and relationships. Tani Estefy, co-founder of Latina Approved and host of “All Things Latina,” focuses on bicultural identity. Raq-C, founder of Brazen Wellness, covers motherhood and self-reinvention. Emily Tapia, a South Central Los Angeles native, covers food and local culture. Sal Salcedo, founder of Nova Arts, and Iván Poshenko, a celebrity fashion stylist, round out the roster with content on style and personal transformation.

“We’re challenging ourselves to rethink what a radio brand can be by creating content the way our audience consumes it today: across mobile, social, video, and on-air,” said Entravision’s President of Audio Eduardo Maytorena, who led development of the platform.

Entravision’s Senior Director of Audio Content Jacquelynn Carrera led creator curation for the launch. “Our founding principle is to be unapologetically Latina and to elevate the voices that speak to every Latina,” she said.

Entravision is the largest affiliate group of the Univision and UniMás television networks and operates television, radio and digital advertising businesses targeting Latino audiences in the U.S., according to the announcement.
